Benzos help. about to withdrawl from 11 years of use

diazepam produces a 'benzo euphoria' if you don't have a tolerance. It used to make me feel reallllly good at 10mg. Now 200mg wouldnt even touch me. I think lorazpeam is a better taper drug for various reasons, though it has to be administered more frequently.

Tolerance is an amazing thing. 200mg's to me, sounds totally outrageous and would kill me flat out... Hah. But, that's how I am with heroin. It really is amazing how much of a certain drug the human body can handle if use is consistent enough.

I think you could get off them, with the benzos and gaba at your dispolsal. I've been on 2mg of clonazepam for about 7 years. I stop often, but even when I didn't I didn't die over it.

My dad takes more benzos than me. Ambien , clonazepam , diazepam. When he quit he felt EXTREMEly uncomfortable. But he was ok in the end.

yeah funny thing is about 50mg of heroin would probably kill me lol especially since i am on benzos (thienobenzos lol)

even with my massive tolerance a good amount of diazepam will still put me to sleep nicely. Too bad the Dr i see only gives me 40mg/month

Agreed, great post. I don't think diazepam produces euphoria, but everything else in this post is spot on.
To clarify, I wasn't recommending chlordiazepoxide over diazepam, in my original post I recommended diazepam or lorazepam IIRC, I just wanted to remind people that it is an alternative option that gets the job done without any bells or whistles.

Well I guess euphoria is subjective. I actually had quite a tolerance to benzos and enjoyed it. Once I was stable the valium made me feel really good. The longer you take it the better it works, the long half life lets it build up in your body. So even though the effects of librium arn't as nice it's still worth using for a taper because of it's long half life and weak potency.
