Yup, I was going to use flax. :) Would it work the same if I took 1-2 Tbsp flax, ground it, and then added the water?Flax eggs would have probably done the trick there. 1-2 tbsp whole flaxseed in 1/4 cup water, then blend the everloving hell out of it. You'll wind up with something that has the consistency of runny snot, but it works great as a substitute for eggs as a binder.
Some people apparently don't taste it or something. I always taste it when it hasn't been rinsed, but I know of at least two people who don't rinse quinoa and don't complain about the taste.Rinsing quinoa is a MUST. They're coated in a bitter mucilage that needs to be removed prior to cooking for maximum deliciousness.
