So who here are regular tea drinkers, and what do you gain from it? What kind of tea do you like? Do you drink it simply for the taste or the countless benefits?

I've been researching a lot of the health benefits of black and green tea consumption, and I've learned that despite the caffeine content, it can actually reduce blood pressure in the long-term.

I usually have a couple cups of green tea or orange pekoe (which is a form of black tea) everyday. Sometimes it is decaf. I'm hyperthyroid and need help lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on my heart. I also drink more of other teas ranging from all types of flavours such ass cranberry, apple mango, passionfruit, etc but I doubt they have much benefit.

Anyways, what's your experience with tea guys?

I drink tea nightly, mostly for the taste and the relaxing ritual of preparing loose-leaf tea. My favorite teas are rooibos and oolong, but I drink all varieties. I haven't noticed any specific health benefits, but then again I've only been drinking tea regularly for a few months, and I'm pretty healthy anyway so I'm not really sure what I'd be looking for.

If you want to drink tea for your health, rooibos is probably the most promising (although it's not really tea per se), followed by white tea and green tea.

I've been drinking quality tea for about 3 years now. I say "quality" because I used to use those nasty lipton tea bags for a few months but once I tried loose tea I never went back.
I used to drink a lot of coffee(up to a gram of caffeine/day when I first started), and I switched to tea because I was concerned about the long term effects of such high doses of caffeine.
Anywho, I drink several cups a day, mostly green and white teas. I have a cup of green in the morning with my supplements and a cup with my lunch, and white during the evening.
I know tea is a very healthy drink but I can't exactly "feel" it doing anything in the sense that one can't feel the antioxidants and polyphenols going to work inside your body.

I got onto green and peppermint tea recently thru my gf. Really pleased about the health effects to...even if its just getting more water into me throughout the day :)

I'm a teaholic. Right now I'm addicted to Spiced Chai tea (add milk and honey) It gets me going in the morning and warms me up in my cold office.

I love black tea, taste and effects. It's definately easier on the system than coffee, though I still like a good cup of coffee sometimes. It's an entirely different experience.

Im a big fan of licorice tea, I know licorice has some medical effects but I just like the tea. Its naturally very sweet, no sugar necessary! Jasmine-Green tea is pretty nice too

Licorice tea is the best aphrodisiac tea. I don't really think about the health benefits of tea, though I know they are present. I drink all kinds of the main 4 types, and I like a variety of herbal teas. I prefer mint, licorice, rooibos, camomile. Fruit based herbal teas are okay, though I really only think that cranberry, rosehip or raspberry has any sort of effect.

Cranberry tea is the shit. What are the "main 4 types"?

I drink tea all day long everyday , mostly black tea with a little milk and sugar. It helps sooth my sooth my stomach and gives me a little puff , I used to drink coffee everyday but it messes with my digestive system too much. Tea also tastes about a million times better then coffee :D

Thanks so much for your post friend!

i noticed clearer and nicer feeling skin straight away after starting on rooibos tea. i try to stick to herbal/caffeine free teas so my favorites are rooibos, pear luna, moroccan mint, and silver needle. i love green tea but usually drink it in small amounts because of the caffeine.

i didn't get into tea seriously until i quit drinking alcohol for a while. i needed an outlet for my beer/wine snobbery and fancy loose leaf teas filled the void nicely :)

I'm pretty into tea, I must say. I have a large stash of medicinal teas, for various ailments, which don't tend to be very tasty so I only drink 'em and give them out when it's necessary. And I have my stash of more "fun" teas that I drink regularly. I always start my day off with green tea, some of my favorites are licorice, rooibos, peppermint (which is also healing for tummies and headaches), chai (mmmmm such a tasty treat with soy milk and honey), white teas, fruity teas, herby teas, and everything between....it's all beneficial in one way or another! =)

yay tea!
