When I was 7 i walked into my parents room and saw my dad on top of my mum, and ran out before they realised i was there. I didn't talk to him for a week because i thought he was hurting her while she was sleeping.

When I was 15, I walked in on my mum having sex with another man on the bathroom floor. My dad was in the UK at the time.

Its sickening, isnt it? hehe, but we will be their age one day and still hopefully having sex!

My parents are in their 60's now and are "born again sex addicts". They have taken to boasting about their sex lives to everyone (including my horrified friends). I stayed in a hotel room next to theirs no so long ago and was subjected to moans, howls and banging of bed heads against the wall all night.

They also took "private" pictures of themselves in various positions, with various props, forgot to remove them from the rest of their holiday photos so I saw the lot. Im not sure who was more embarassed about that, my dad or me..

Never caught them scruffing but more frighteningly, horrific even, while looking for some old comedy company tapes in the video draws I happened to come across a vid labeled holiday 87, thinking it was a tape of one of the families caravaning adventures I popped it in to find my old man chockablock up my Mum . My eyes burnt, my stomach churned and the eject button was pressed repeatedly until the offending video was spat across the room.

Needless to say I never opened the draw again and still find it difficult to sleep at night.

Yep, caught my mum riding my dad. Its one of only two memories I have of them not angry with each other or smashed. Possibly they should have worked on showing their love for each other around us kids in other ways.....

some people say that walking in on their parents having sex was mentally scarring and life damaging... but i think that knowing that your parent hasn't had sex in about 20 yrs is more disturbing.

at least if your parents have sex you can ask them for advice or whatever when you're growing up. when you're living with a fucked up mother like i had to endure... you just dont have that advantage. it's all "wait until you're married" "don't shave your thighs, that just way too promiscous" "oral sex is a sin... masturbating will send you to hell" followed by guenuine shock-horror. and after seeing what marriage did to my parents, WELL i never wanted to get into that. and i can't imagine having sex without having ever masturbated or even engaged in oral sex. i can't even begin to fathom how shit her sex life must have been and wonder why she could believe such ridiculous things.

i think its also disturbing that i've had more sex than my mother is likely to have in her lifetime. and sad too. because she's approaching 50 and still has a great figure, she just wont let go of this post-traumatic stress induced "vision from god" about my father one day returning to her... she had that dream almost 15yrs ago and believes it to be the course of her fate. why the hell she'd want to return to such a shit life is totally beyond me. (and i mean SHIT, my dad had to cheat on her in order to get any action at all, and then they would fight about it in the kitchen while i'd be there 7yrs old trying to sleep to the sound of them bashing eachother with pots and pans).

in some ways i wish i could have walked in on my parents fucking. it would prove that some part of my original family was in fact 'normal'. but sadly no such indicators ever existed.

Only time ive caught them is when i was about 6 and knew NOTHING about sex or that it was done for pleasure, but for the simple fact of concieving a child..anyway my dad was flying out to do rural work (builder) the next day, walked in to hop into bed with them and noticed that my mum was a little higher up than usual..they musta heard the door and stopped..i remember reaching out and poking my mum cos i wanted to hop in with them and they pretended to be asleep...arg!

I think the same thing happenned to me this father's day.

You know, me being the angelic daughter that i am, thought some nice eggs and toast and bacon would be a lovely treat for my daddy.

I knocked, they said come in, but my mum who is always wears pyjamas, was very much hidden under the covers.
But, a telling sign was that her bare shoulders poked through.

That and they were both looking somewhat uncomfortable, flushed and slightly puffing.



Won't be taking in breakfast next year.
