Hating on people who hate on needles...

I think if IVing drugs didn't cause vein collapse then it would be much less stigmatized. E.g. I've never seen snorting or plugging particularly stigmatized, and the latter is quite disturbing at first thought.

Vein collapse is generally avoidable. I have injected thousands of times and haven't collapsed any veins. :)

Also, IVing creates track marks, which are obvious. Most people would never ever think about shooting up just because of that.

Track marks are not an inevitability of IVing. Using a new 31g needle every time you inject can reduce track marks, to the point where most people aren't going to notice/stare/say anything about it.

I used to be a IV opiate drug addict.

I don't hate on people who use needles but I don't think it's a smart thing to do. I associate needles with people who have lost total respect for their body. I just feel like it is taking it to far and it's very unnatural. Though if I know a certain person uses the needle or has in the past, I wouldn't think less of them. I judge people on their personality and intelligence.

Injecting street drugs is dangerous stuff and shouldn't be taken lightly.

Because using a needle is the most effective ROA and gives the best high its considered the most hardcore way of doing drugs. It is much easier to become a hardcore addict when you inject compared to other ROAs. Every IV drug user I've ever met is sketchy as hell. Maybe there really are legitimate recreational IV drug users our there but I don't know any.

i get that a lot...people call me a junkie and think im dirty bc im an IV user. People who smoke pot think theyre better than people who pop pills, people who pop pills think theyre better than people who snort things and they all think there better than IV users...in my opinion no one is better than anyone. we r all doing something wrong but looking for that person whos worse off so we feel better about what we r doing. in my case i use a clean needle everytime, alc. wipes, clean water cotton the whole bit. is it safe no but niether is any other mehod of using. so stick with what you like and know ..be as safe as you can ...and dont judge. **k enough of my 2 cents ** ;)

The funny thing is, some people think they will get diseases even if the needle has never touched another person and is completely sterile. Yet these people will have unprotected sex or use one of those shitty free planned parenthood condoms that has a high chance of tearing. Fluid exchange is fluid exchange...

I hate those fucking condoms, I would never use them now that I know how bad they are... Why the fuck do they give out practically defective condoms?
