Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone has any info on this. My friends mom works at a mental hospital and told him that there's been some patients lately coming in due to psychosis, and the reason has been ketamine but its weird like it's not actually showing up on drug tests? I dont know exactly how they're finding out what it is but she said its ketamine with like a changed molecule? Its apparently putting people in really bad long term psychosis. Idk if she's on some fear mongering shit or what, but if anyone knows what im talking about please chime in. Thanks!

No, I didn't heard of keta causing long term psych damage
What I have heard (and read&see pics, here in BL) is that ketamine can and do destroy your bladder(sp?) and urinary tract if you go wild on it, using big amounts and/or using it too often for too long.
There is a very valuable thread by the tittle "Warning: why you shouldn't abuse ketamine (nsfw photos)", posted by our fellow bluelighter.

I know that's kinda off topic as you have asked about mental issues, but that thread sure worths a visit. It goes without saying that the photos aren't nice, that's for sure, but, harm reduction wise, they can't be more valuable.

Ketamine is not a "semi-soft" drug as some people seems to perceive it. Ketamine carries its dangers if abused or used too often

I've not been able to find record of this, but if a young person is schizophrenic and it hasn't surfaced yet, it can surface earlier than usual when it's poked and prodded with hallucinogens (cannabis, dissociatives, empathogens, psychedelics, deliriants, etc.)

Tiletamine and tilmetamine have some very long lasting aftereffects though.

i don't really know about the tests the hospitals use... i got arrested on acid and had to take a drug test in the hospital after court and they said i had MDMA in my system, which doesn't really make any sense cause i consumed blotter paper and pretty sure it was LSD... so maybe the test is wrong or something cause i don't think mdma could fit on blotter. maybe that's just one instance where the hospital i went to read the test wrong or something...

i haven't heard about any new ketamine like drugs inducing psychosis any where on the internet and i read reddit pretty often. i don't often hear of people going into psychosis on ketamine either. could just be a regional thing where someone is selling a research chemical as ketamine and the people at the hospital are dumb as fuck making shit up about a new ketamine... but i will check this thread again to see if there are any new drugs around, not that i'm really interested in taking a new ketamine like drug that drives people insane. lol

I dunno mang. PCP is a ketamine like drug and I think there are plenty of reports of drug induced psychosis with it.
Ketamine is 2-oxo-2'-chloro-PCM.

But actual ketamine, I haven't heard of causing long term psychosis. I had a roommmate who was doing prolly 5g of ket, and 3g of cocaine every day, without sleeping and I truly believe he was frequently in drug induced psychosis, but when he stopped doing the K and got some sleep, he'd be back to normal. There's also a lot of historic reports of people freaking out after coming back from surgery, but again, i can't think of any that caused long term psychosis.

I could also see 3-meo-pcp and 2-oxo-PCE causing problems they both have strong manic edges. Even The WHO states that 3-meo-pcp is MORE likely to cause psychosis than other disassociatives

Wow man, that's just insane I guess that your mate was young cause I can't imagine an ageing human organism handle those amounts
Also, I would like to know for how long (weeks, months) did this individual stayed on such a daily regime
I think that I could live a thousand lifes and people still would be blowing my mind with their... "performances"

It was a slow progression but a few years. Not sure where he's at, but last I heard he'd gotten caught up in the system. I've a had a few K addicts as roommates, and I have to say it can get very ugly.

I know I'm a bit of a notorious dosedemon on this forum, but I experienced one of the most traumatic concussions of my life denting the bridge of my nose into with a cofee table, tripping over the carpet one night walking out of the bathroom stone cold sober. For about four months I could not read or write meaningfully, could not walk in a straight line, was virtually never not in a state of meaningful delirium. Throughout this period I did a lot of insane and reckless shit with drugs. One of them was insufflating 25mg of DOM, 25mg of 2C-B, 40ish milligrams of 4-HO-MiPT (miprocin) and then 16 hours later in an attempt to "chill out" I smoked 125mg of 3-MeO-PCP I'd cured into a fist full of joints. One after the other, smoked em down until my reality was overcome with a gorescape of the hallucinations that had haunted me since meropenem induced brain damage at the age of 13, they all reformed infinitely until reaching the shape of a woman who was some sort of "santa muerta" figure, an embodiment of death. She explained that I'd come far too close to death far too often for it to ever lose its taste for me now. The more I focused, the more I realized that the woman I was looking at was myself, it was quite a fascinating experience. Since then even the worst of psychotic effects I can experience while fully unmedicated are fucking child's play compared to before that experience, but this was also within a couple months of a 37.5 milligram LSD experience and a few other real impactful ones, so that entire period of my life had a lot going on.

Edit: I'm writing like I'm concussed again (haha) but it's just the 2C-B I'm on, sorry about that.

My goodness. I'm very sorry, that sounds terrifying! I hope you're doing better nowadays

Yeah I'm definitely doing better nowadays, that concussion damn near system reset my ass haha. Neuroregeneratives have played a big part in recovering from brain damage in numerous unrelated incidents in my life, concussions, encephalitis, meropenem toxicity (surgical mishap), a gang of stupid shit. I'm just grateful to be able to access these tools that keep me sane.

This was more around late 2024-mid 2025ish I think? 2FDCK and “FXE” (CanKet) were my absolute favorite and I was IVing, IMing, boofing a ton to the point I seem to have a perma tolerance of some kind or the magic is more difficult to attain.

Anyways, China made those (they’re still around), then they got banned and supply dried. And I immediately saw “tilmetamine” available. Not Tiletamine, some other disso. Tilmetamine. It was like a green crystal, never seen that kind of color before.

I IV’d 80mg for some reason recklessly of it. It was like… This boring basic slight dissociation. Lasted a long time, like 5+ hours. Eventually I did like a similar amount bit more the next day.

I immediately was nearly blind and had severe visual impairment where light blinded me 100%. It lasted like 6 months and gradually got completely better. I also had psychosis and was texting with an evil entity trying to ruin my life through my hacked Google Docs shares file. Their text was bright yellow, my mom said nobody was talking to me. I was typing to myself and then deleting everything immediately. Absolutely horrifying realization. Lasted like a week or two in terms of psychosis, thought the construction workers next door knew I was ordering drugs and we’re sneaking to my RV at night to rob me and take my drugs cause I thought they were watching me during the day.

I had a seizure from benzos eventually, a couple, then a horrific cyst from I assume mostly from where I shot the tilmetamine and ketamine analogues all the time too. Giant vein on my right side.

Went to rehab half blind and told a lot of the nurses all about tilmetamine since they found it utterly perplexing but interesting that I would just shoot that shit into my arm experimentally like that and to be dealing with these types of consequences from using it. Idk what happened to it, guess it just stopped getting sold? Was never really a huge problem cause anyone that used it on Reddit posted similar experiences as I did.

Definitely a very niche thing, not an epidemic at all but maybe some people know about it from the small % that abused it like I did and went on to tell about it. Guessing nobody OD’d from it otherwise it probably would have gotten more attention or some kind of scheduling.

Definitely search “tilmetamine” along with psychosis and blindness. You’ll see quite a handful of other people who were as stupid as I was to be some of the first guinea pigs to try it and find out just how horrible it was. And who know how massively we were overdosing it. No clue how to dose it. Just winged it. So idiotic… But yeah Reddit has similar corroborating stories. Came and went. Hopefully doesn’t make a desperate comeback and sneak up on anyone.

Could you clarify --- she was taking the "ketamine" which induced psychosis --- not given ketamine at the hospital 'for psychosis'?

Correct?

Okay yea "Ketamine with a changed molecule" could be FXE tilmetamine or a # of other ketamine analogs, the time frame would narrow it down by judging what was on the market at the time but if you dont feel comfortable i aint prying
