Has anyone ever tried dripping acid on a spider?

Non-sequitur appeal to emotion much o_O?

*confused*

Sorry that didn't make much sense. My thinking was that if giving cats catnip is evil because they don't have the inhibition to stop themselves, then so would selling meth to a meth head (because he too lacks the inhibition to stop himself). Cats and meth heads both use their drugs when given them (ie self administration). My point was that I think you were misinterpreting self administration. Self administration doesn't imply that they go get the drugs (or in this case catnip). It simply means that they will willingly and intentionally use them when they are present.

I'm actually on LSD right now so that did make sense to me when I typed it haha. I can't say for the rest of you.

Oh. Yeah, I didn't say it was evil, hence my confusion. Anyways, get out of this thread, too many bad vibes for those taking a trip.

Oh by the way Biovail, did you know you're not supposed to put dishwashing soap in the dishwasher?

I agree with your sentiment but jeez Dwayne, for someone who spends a lot of time on a psychedelics board you sure could learn to chill the fuck out a little. Aren't you the one who flipped shit when I suggested that dealers who intentionally poison their clientele should go to jail? But I guess cats are a whole different ballgame.

I remember that, lol.

Your definition of self-administration seems... off.

Cat's don't go to the store, buy some catnip, put it in their toy and then give it to themselves. We do all that for them, and then laugh at how they respond since it's psychotropic just by inhaling the smell.

You are aware that Catnip also grows naturally and you can get catnip seeds and grow it in your garden, right?

I have seem many cats eat the fresh catnip directly out of the garden or patch. Think about it, if you put certain foods in front of a cat - If they decide they don't want it - they will get close to it smell it and walk away.

There is a difference between dropping a liquid into their CNS. Again, you wouldn't want to damage them emotionally or through fear - Dogs and Cats can get traumatized just as easily as humans and never be the same.

You stupid empty pathetic f-ing A-HOLE! DO ***NOT*** DO THIS YOU MEAN LITTLE CHILD!!! Or even joke about it because there are lots of RETARDS you will give this VERY WRONG HARMFULL AND IMMORAL idea to!

Cats are mammals just like you and I they feel pain and terror and LOVE just like you, JACKASS!!!

Incredibly cruel horrifying idea, if anyone knows this jerk and they do this REPORT THEM TO POLICE FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY so they will GO TO JAIL!!!

You wanna get yourself over to that other forum, the SWIMming one,, they're always giving drugs to chimps and aardvarks and all sorts of creatures.

Jail's too good for scum like that :o

The things people come up with.

Sometimes I think curiosity is the most sadistic drug.

I only react with this level of vehemence when some bad idea that pisses me off is proposed, which does not happen THAT often... and my verbal reaction is deliberately exaggerated on purpose for a sort of theatrical reason, because some random bland "hey dude, shouldnt do that, M'kay?" read in letters on a screen is very very weak and normally has the effect of a grain of dust... so one amps it up to create a little friction in the mind of the reader to make it more... effective, at least that's the intent.

Anyway...

An animal must be INVOLUNTARILY FORCED to take something, and has no idea what was happening to them, they could only possibly perceive it as the physical world itself becoming alive and threatening, perhaps an ULTIMATE form of terror/torture.

The people who bought the fake LSD made a deliberate decision and knew they were taking a mind altering substance of their own volition, FAILED to exercise appropriate caution by test dosing small amounts jumping straight to immediate high doses procured from essentially a stranger in an unregulated illicit marketplace. At least when it turned bad they more or less knew what was happening to them, that they had given themselves something. And were able to seek comfort from others, and seek or be given medical help to alleviate the unwanted effects, etc... NONE of which remedies are available to a poor cat given a dose, in that experiment, and most likely not at home either where it would probably be laughed at and left to run away and cower in abject horror for the duration

How can you possibly see these situations as being even remotely comparable from a ethics point of view? Duh.
