Bupe Has anyone else here ever experienced this using suboxone after 11 months?

thanks to everyone for sharing their own experiences which are making me really want to fight the good fight and not give up!
Even though it is backwards to the norm i can believe LESS is MORE with bupe! It has a rep to be a strange drug from what i have researched.
it has only been a few days on the lowered 2mg dose so it is too soon to say anything, but due to
all of the replies i am reading there is defintiely a light at the end of the tunnel.:)
I will be patient and give the lowered doses the time it needs to re-adjust my tolerence
or whatever it may be called.
Luckily for me i know that any other drug alternate like going back to oxy or any drug for that
matter would only be a temporary fix and probably a short one at that, then i would be worse off
than i am now!8(
What i had said earlier in this thread about going back to oxy was just desperation talking, i am not giving up!
Ps, Does anyone else find it strange that our perscribers(sub docs) are not telling us these things and tapering the dose accordingly:X
Sorry but i cant help be pissed off at my doctor who should have known this and made me aware of it as well! when i told him what i posted here he mentioned a lot of suggestions but not one was about tapering the dose? He asked me if i wanted to raise it!

^well, I think doctors prefer to keep patients at high dosages because when one is maintaining on a dose under 4mg, the buprenorphine isn't going to block other opiates nearly as effectively, and at certain dosages it just doesn't block them at all.

Yeah. I always found that when i dropped my buprenorphine dose down, it would take 4 days to feel the benefits of the dose decrease, and about 12 days to fully adjust to that new and lower dose.
UPDATE
It has now been 3 full days at no more than 2mg's per day and i have to admit i feel a slight improvement overall8o
I am now at least NOT dreading the day when i first wake up and a starting to have more enjoyment
with things again? I am out of bed and playing my guitar and Gaming again.
I doubt this is just mental because i feel more physical strength than i had before reducing the dose.
Before i felt drained and even if i forced to do something i would just lay back down after a few minutes.
This is incredible, Who would have ever thought a high dose was making me feel down, fatigued and zombie like?
I hope everyone learns about the importance of tapering down after the maintainance period of 2MG's
or less before they experience what i did.

that makes sense. even though you were tolerant to many of it's mental effects you were still being drained of energy from such a high dose. 2 mg doesn't sound like a lot, but when you look at what dose bupe is active at you'll realize it really is.

Is there a thread here that is just about the importance of low dosing after the maintanance period and others experience with it?
I looked at the mega threads and did not see any covering this?
