Hallucinogen psychosis?

Have you ever sought out any sort of doctor Magickduck? I guess there isnt really much a doctor could do and it sounds as if you're handling it alright, you haven't gone crazy or into any sort of psychosis by the sounds. You say 3 month binge, so, was this like a few times a week, balls out every day? I only ask because the term "binge" takes on very different meaning for different people; kind of like how some professionals consider you to be a binge drinker if you have more than three drinks in an evening (i forget the correct notion, but by that logic 99% of people who drink are binge drinkers). I also don't mean to have you repeat yourself as Im sure you've answered it before, but I dont quite want to scour all your posts :o

This is a pretty stupid post. And youre a moderator? 8)

We have at least 2 people in here personally relating about severe psychotic symptoms extending far beyond the duration of a normal trip. One of the posters even says he is on psych meds 5 years later because of a bad trip. Do you know of people who get drunk, developed PTSD because they got drunk, or have to take psych meds several years later because they got drunk? I fail to see the need for some of you folks to get sarcastic in discussions like this. You kids should go pollute another thread.

If 2 people in 11 posts have experience, surely others know more. Thank you to the people in this thread who actually contribute meaningful posts.

The plural of anecdote is not data.

No, I have not, there is nothing they can do. And I did go into a psychosis for a bit. While the thoughts I was having wouldn't have been too out of par for an LSD trip, sober they were kind of worrisome. I was delusional for a bit but I am better now however I still have some of the psychedelic effects. It was roughly every 3 days for 3 months.

I think it may have something to do with Serotonin receptor down regulation... as when I take low doses of mushrooms or cactus (the only psyches I use nowadays) it seems to go away for 3 days-1 week. Also I have met a few other people in similar conditions, I have a theory it may have to do with using or over-using psychedelics at a young age (I was 15 when I began) while the brain is developing, perhaps my overuse while my brain was developing caused my brain to kind of... wire around it?
