I have no epileptic history whatsoever. My tolerance to opiates at the moment is low.
This past Saturday I was attending a friend's party. I had used no drugs that day, or in the days prior. I had only 4 glasses of beer and was relaxing in the kitchen talking to a few people.
All of a sudden I wake up and I'm in an ambulance! Turns out I had gone into a grand mal seizure so my understandably panicked friends called 911. Anyhow, to make a long story short, the hospital ran a battery of tests on me (M.R.I, E.E.G, etc.) and found no abnormalities and could find no reason for the seizure.
In the process of the seizure I somehow dislocated my shoulder. A few x-rays confirmed the dislocated shouler, so the doctor injected me with IV Fentanyl to help with the pain. Felt very nice and numbed the blinding pain down to nothing but a mere annoyance. Too bad it only took them about 10 mins to reset my shoulder and the effects seemed to wear off as soon they took out the IV. Is this normal? This was my first fentanyl experience.
(I may go back and say I'm still in pain to see if I can score any additional opiates).
