H.R. 1254 & S. 605 possible future of RC's in the USA

BK-methylone scheduled? no loss here. I miss the days we had when people got so euphoric, I got jealous as soon as I saw them. I hope dealers start researching some already invented chemicals and find the ones that make you roll around on the carpet while you moan. TIKAL and PHIKAL seem to have a lot of user reports on drugs that dont even get mentioned on bluelight, and Shulgin is quite ecstatic about some of them regarding their theraputic potential.

Interesting. I don't think this many substances have been simultaneously scheduled ever. What strikes me as most curious about this is the lack of phenethylamines, tryptamines, subbed amphetamines, 4-MeO PCP, methoxetamine, etc. At first I thought this was maybe due to these substances not making near as much noise as the "ketones" but now I'm wondering if it is something else entirely. It seems very plausible to me that all of these compounds are not being specifically listed because they are already viewed as straight up illegal due to being analogs of already scheduled substances. They are much closer ("substantially similar"?) to being "analogs" than most of the compounds in the bill are to methcathinone, which the DEA has argued in the case of mephedrone and MDPV. Hmmmmm....

Cheers

If i'm not mistaken the analog act only applies to schedule I and II drugs. Methoxetamine is a ketamine analog which is schedule III... That being said I think it could technically be sold and a dietary supplement legally unless I am missing something... Either way no analog act enforcement with MXE =]

Thanks Villian I just wrote my congressman to tell him that I will support his primary challenger if he supports this bill. I know it doesnt make any differance but I enjoy fuckin with the assholes.

. We can thank these breathtakingly blatant and moronic vendors for these bills.

... well, that, and...

Drugs get popular, Drugs get scheduled.

If you're in the know, you know when to stock up on certain RCs. There is always a golden window right before they get sched'd or the following 14 days if you know the right people. In any case, I don't think anyone is real alarmed by this.

I'm sure I will continue to see vendors being very clever in the way they sell RCs. I've even seen one vendor alter his website to look like you are buying Persian rugs and using code-words which can be decryption by an email he sent his customers. The interwebs is a difficult to control market.

what's the status on HR1254??? and are 2c's being targeted with this bill????

Chainer, I have seen similar things. I have seen some go as far as to pretend to sell a MASSIVE amount and variety of lab equipment.

EDIT: yes, 2c-e, 2c-i, 2c-p, 2c-c-, 2c-d, and 2c-n are all in the bill. Maybe a couple others I missed but while the first 5 are fairly prevalent, I was surprised about 2c-n seeing as its pretty rare.

As long as a substance doesn't directly kill somebody or become popular enough to acquire a nickname on the streets, it shouldn't garner any attention. I've tried to bring up RC's in many casual conversations with a wide cross-section of society, & nobody ever seems to have a clue of what I'm talking about. Public outcry, let alone general awareness of RC's is definitely not a factor, & therefore not much of a priority for lobbyists to rally against or politicians to vilify. Besides, there are too many RC's in development to try & ban without completely changing the CSA laws from square one. Shit, there are probably designer inhalants waiting to be unleashed on the market.

Some congress shit going down delaying the reconvening of congress

Something I heard on the radio about some congressional bullshit working in our favor for once (that is my r.c. using ass favor). For somereason some dudes are doing snarky shit to keep congress in recess. So that is slowing down 1254 one day at a time. Which only needs to be voted on by senate, then signed by president right?

After the senate votes on it, how long does it take to hit the president's desk?

^ I don't think it would take very long at all for a bill to hit the president's desk, but it may stay there a while. Then the president can veto the bill in several different ways, even by refusing to sign it.

Hang on one second. So are the 2C class drugs illegal yet? Or is it on hold? Does any one have an actual date that the ban goes into effect? I`ve been sick as hell with a head cold and I`m a bit confused at the mo`.
Any help would be awesome.

Excuse my ignorance but wouldn't they wonder why a persian rug was coming in an envelope and perhaps get a bit suspicious. I know a guy that uses code words too but there just jibberish like shark rot for mxe for example. (No thats not the real code word)

rand paul is holding this up in the senate until it gets rewritten. he says that the wording would overly-hinder future legitimate scientific and medical research into these compounds.

there's gotta be at least one chem in that list that's fit for medical use no? :)
