Guns/Weapons Discussion

^ agreed I fucking loved going shooting as a kid, shame I can't afford the gun/farmland atm :(

I like guns. I don't own one but I do have my firearms card and I like to go the range and shoot. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you squeeze the trigger on a 40 caliber hand gun. Such power in such a small object amazes me.

November 12th 1998. Had I not had my shotgun, I would have likely been killed.

Hm.. Well then I take back what I said.

They're potentially dangerous, and have to be treated with great respect.

if you research them and take care of them, you won't have any problem with them.

Yeah.

i'm not a big fan of guns, but shooting is very relaxing for some reason. i dont get the whole "taking out aggresion" thing, unless you're using a shotgun point blank or something. long distance shots require being relaxed and focusing.

If you have a gun... you're either: a fucking homophobic anti-liberal redneck american registered with the nra, or a "tough" drug-dealer who listens to rap and compensates for his insecurities by showing off his 44.

... *shakes head*

word!!! :D

^^Werd. :D
Im not American, but i'm definitely used to having guns in my house, im used to my Daddy having his own guns, im used to my boyfriends having guns, my friends going to target shooting every week, and probably the only difference with how americans love it, is its not such a big deal over here. Its like, normal.

on a different track, while i'm scared shitless of them and dont want to be around anyone who has one, i think the image can sometimes be very hot. like in romeo and juliet, hot guys in wife beaters with shoulder holsters sticking out those buff arms holding a gun... very attractive.
of course thats a movie and real life is gonna be a very different story.

I do not own any guns, because I live in a safe neighborhood and don't feel the need. However, I have had the oppertunity to shoot AK-47s, CAR-15s, Desert Eagles, and several other guns. Its fun, but, I don't think I'd want a firearm lying around my house unless it was necessary for the safety of myself or my family.

Well then i suggest your man should see a pyschologist or whatever...anyone who loves guns is usually a murderous bastard or someone in the army..oh wait those two things are connected, sorry bout that..

My husband and I collect guns, we shoot at the gun range for fun, and we both carry concealed guns (with permits of course) for protection.

We are not murdererous bastards, nor are we in the army. We are responsible people who happen to like guns, there are MANY people like us who are also not "murderous bastards or in the army." =D

do you like guns? do you think guns are bad? If you have a gun, what kind of guns is it? do you use your gun to kill people or do you just go down to the shootin range and release some aggression?

i am fascinated by guns, i think guns are great if used with responsability...
what do you guys think?

Now back to the original subject

Yes I like guns
Guns are not bad....PEOPLE are bad ;)

Do you live in an enviroment where you need guns though or do you just use them for fun? Guns aint exactly my idea of having fun but it depends where you come from i guess...i don't feel the need to use them for protection either cos of where im from, well london isnt exactly the safest place but i know my area enough to know i don't need guns for self defence.

And dbighead-guns compared to drugs? That's the most ridiculous comparison ive ever heard of. Guns were invented to kill or are for your own protection and even if you do research them, would that stop someone else shooting you?...drugs are totally different.

No, I am in Oklahoma...the crime rate here is relatively low.
I don't need a gun for self defense, I have taken self defense classes. I am a little bitty thing though...so if I ever had to resort to using my gun I would....it's a secondary option as far as protection.
We go and shoot at the range for fun, some people like guns, some people don't. *shrugs* just saying that it doesn't make someone a criminal, (or an army person) to like owning a gun ;)

^Never said it did make you a criminal ;). I ain't exactly a tall person either but feel as though i could stand up for myself without em, shooting at the range is okay if its your hobby i guess, I just could never picture myself doing that unless i had no choice lol.

I felt the same way as you sweetie :) Then my hubby put a 45 in my hand at the shooting range one day. I was soooooo scared I was shaking all over!!! I absolutely hated guns! All it took was one shot though...I've been in love since LOL

I think they are somewhat similar. Ask anyone that enjoys shooting at a shooting range, and I am sure they will tell you shooting a gun is somewhat euphoric.

When you first start out you suck at it, you can't hit the bullseye for anything. But later on when you shoot for a while, you get good at it. And the day that you hit the bullseye for the first time, it's a great feeling.

They make quite a few guns expecially for target shooting.

Usually they are small guns like a .22 caliber weapon. They have very small bullets for target shooting that cost only a few cents to buy, you can shoot them literally all day and only spend maybe 10 bucks.

They're about this big

very small bullets. If you shoot a rabbit with them he will more than likely laugh at you and come kick your ass for playing games with him.

Did you know that markmenship is an Olympic sport? You don't have to be a redneck or a killer to enjoy guns. Sure you CAN use guns for killing, but I can also use a pencil or my bare hands to kill a man, does that mean I am going to do it? Of course not.

Just because someone owns a gun doesn't mean they want to kill anything.

I have a .22 rifle, and hope to get a .22 hand gun when I get older for target practice.

We have rabbits and deer running through my yard all day. I would NEVER kill them. We actually put food out for them to eat and sit and watch them. My family has a very big facination with animals, so the last thing we'd want to do is kill one.

As for a man, I'm sure we would do it if it was an absolute last option, but we'd more than likely use our hands or anyother object laying around before we picked up a gun and shot someone.

Guns are a very last resort weapon when it comes to killing someone.

I have an AK and I shoot deer when I am bored. I am an American. Except I wasn't born in the USA and I am not a citizen of this country, but I am American. This is for SmC.

.... i'm a little too high to figure this out, but did you just say you shoot deer with a fucking AK?
