And dbighead-guns compared to drugs? That's the most ridiculous comparison ive ever heard of. Guns were invented to kill or are for your own protection and even if you do research them, would that stop someone else shooting you?...drugs are totally different.
I think they are somewhat similar. Ask anyone that enjoys shooting at a shooting range, and I am sure they will tell you shooting a gun is somewhat euphoric.
When you first start out you suck at it, you can't hit the bullseye for anything. But later on when you shoot for a while, you get good at it. And the day that you hit the bullseye for the first time, it's a great feeling.
They make quite a few guns expecially for target shooting.
Usually they are small guns like a .22 caliber weapon. They have very small bullets for target shooting that cost only a few cents to buy, you can shoot them literally all day and only spend maybe 10 bucks.
They're about this big

very small bullets. If you shoot a rabbit with them he will more than likely laugh at you and come kick your ass for playing games with him.
Did you know that markmenship is an Olympic sport? You don't have to be a redneck or a killer to enjoy guns. Sure you CAN use guns for killing, but I can also use a pencil or my bare hands to kill a man, does that mean I am going to do it? Of course not.
Just because someone owns a gun doesn't mean they want to kill anything.
I have a .22 rifle, and hope to get a .22 hand gun when I get older for target practice.
We have rabbits and deer running through my yard all day. I would NEVER kill them. We actually put food out for them to eat and sit and watch them. My family has a very big facination with animals, so the last thing we'd want to do is kill one.
As for a man, I'm sure we would do it if it was an absolute last option, but we'd more than likely use our hands or anyother object laying around before we picked up a gun and shot someone.
Guns are a very last resort weapon when it comes to killing someone.
