I'm still pretty much on the fence.
It's been a long time since I've played any video games with any regularity, I remember San Andreas sucking a huge amount of my time when it came out. I've heard 360 has issues with build quality, and I figure ps3 has more untapped potential considering it hasn't been out as long, plus the blu-ray player. I'll probably want to pick up metal gear when ever it comes out but aside from that and FF13 (depending on how it's received) there aren't that many ps3 proprietary games I'm looking forward to.
I used to own a PS2 but never played the original xbox, and I've had about 5 minutes on a 360 playing halo3. I guess I'm looking for which ever system will last me the longest, I really don't have any alegiance eaither way. I have some serious thinking to do, but it's going to have to wait until finals, I need another distraction like I need another hole in my head. I guess the one major advantage the XBOX has is that I could plug it directly into my CRT monitor and get 720p resolution (I don't have an HDTV), with a ps3 I'd have to update my screen since it needs an HDCP (or what ever it is) compliant monitor/tv for high def.
Is the 360's hardrive a neccessity? I'm not really into downloading demos and movies, but I'm thinking with multiplayer maps and saved games that 250mb might not be enough space, but for $279 the price is pretty solid.
