Grinders - yea or nay?

I don't think they're necessary (that's a bit misleading). I mean I smoked weed for a whole year without even knowing they existed with no issues. They are desirable though.

It's amazing how much discussion you can get over something that's so apparently inane as a grinder. That's what I like about bluelight.
 
^yeah that grinder is pretty awesome, i never really liked the keif katcher ones, just a plain hockey puck sized stainless disk with sharp ass metal teeth in it, its a cosmis brand grinder, i got it for free when i bought my hvy brand g on g bong.

love the grinder, dont know how i got along without it for so long

You misinterpretated what I say saying, they are necessary for those who enjoy rolling fine, slow burning spliffs and for those who want to get the most out of their bud and make it last longer.
 
No I don't think I did, I just think we disagree. That said I did spend more time than I would like picking it apart and probably bursting trichomes all over my fingers.
 
NAYYYy. SO unnecessary and unneeded, they're pretty much pointless. ONLY upside to them is if you're a blunt/joint smoker. If you have some extra money to blow, buy one. If not, don't, you don't need it. Good for large amounts of herb to grind up in a short period of time.. You won't have to spend several minutes picking at your buds. lol.
 
i use my grinder for my bowl too. a nicely ground bud burns so much nicer and i hate having my fingers smell like bud from picking them apart

So true! I do the same but you need to be careful how hard you pull when its finely ground up... I've put myself in a coughing fit or two not remembering I used ground up weed in my bowl.
 
I love the grinders simply to collect kief. After I run out of weed I'll always get another smoke of finger hash or just kief in a pipe.
 
I use a vaporizer exclusively, and I must use a grinder in order to get the herb at the proper consistency, a very fine grind.
 
I second what tillianne is saying. Vaporizer user from head to toe, that's what I fucking do. I don't know how he does it(probably real vape), but I'm a standard lightbulb vape user. the vapebud that's left over gets smoked out of a glass bowl afterwards(still has around 30% thc left, depending on if you vape it right). Get super fucked up.

I have several vaporizers. A Vapor Warez, two Magic Flight Launch Boxes, and two Ubie's. I really don't care for the Ubie at all. The Ubie's and Vapor Warez are packed away, and I use the Launch Boxes full time.

**On a side note, I'm a girl. :)

Keif is awesome, why wouldn't you want to grind it? Save it for later and sprinkle it onto some kind bud. Mmmmm :)
 
I totally forgot about this Vader! So that's what it looks like! It's been a while but, I just stumbled back into here and was amazed to see it, since it sounded like it would never show. I've never seen anything like that in the US though, did you get it in England or elsewhere?

Its primary function is for mixing hash and tobacco together in. AFAIK they originated in India, where they smoke chillums, for which you need a nice even mix of hash and baccy. It's just the polished bottom of a coconut there. I've also seen ones that are like small leather dishes, which are really good for chillums as you can roll them into a funnel and just pour the mix in. I really like mine, though, because the zip means that you can store your hash in it, fill it with mix and take it out and about, or keep joints in it. Really useful, versatile piece of kit. Also useful for making spliffs with weed (beats using a receipt).

I got in in Christiania (basically a giant squat in the middle of Copenhagen) actually.
 
I have a Space Case grinder, no screen in it.
I prefer grinding my weed up for sure, a lot of people say it "damages" the herb or something but if you're using a nice grinder not a lot of kief is going to get stuck in it anyway.
My Space Case busts herb up perfectly, so I can pack nice fluffy one-hit bowls in my bong since I love the feeling of the "first hoot" every time.

Busted up herb smokes a lot better too.
 
I like grinding my weed sometimes especially when I have more heads I'm smoking with. Usually I just break my weed up with my fingers though. I don't prefer one over the other just really depends on the situation and if I don't have the time ect.
