Graffiti

Just started getting into tagging find it quite fun the darkness of night with only the chshhhhhh sound of a spray paint can...I love the glow in the dark spray paint :p 40 fucking bucks a can tho!

Here's one of the best graff vids I've seen in a while -

Fuck I was doing this in the 90's. Moved on to fine art and stuff still wouldn't mind picking up a can or 20. Kind of have to put that all behind me now too big a risk to my day job. Love the art and the rebellious nature of hitting up train yards/walls/derelict buildings etc. I think if I was to do it again it'd be true street art and of a massive scale. Old disused buildings as that is as much part of the artwork as a whole as the image created.
I love Brazilian graffiti really moves away from the American/European graffiti styles and has it's own unique imagery. I like the fact that the work will decay and deconstruct as the object it is created on degrades with time or is simply destroyed. Sticker/poster bombing is a cheap and quick method of achieving similar results and can also be very entertaining/rewarding. I am at my core an artist and an ex-writer so I can really empathise with the whole culture both underground graph and street art.

What a pic on your computer? You have to ul it to imageshack or tinypic.com first I think. If the pic is already on the web someplace you can get info on the pic and copy it's address and post it between

yeah though that might be the case, cheers...

have always loved sofles work, cunt's got mad talent...

anywhoo, he's the first time I've put pen to paper in 3 years (or paint to wall besides the odd bomb/throw-up when I've been cooked/magget) although I've put pen to wall a few times when I've hit the town with a 20mm lol

I do like this attempt at a 'simple (adjust to the angle) style' throw up. The more I look at it the more I like. Good colour combo too.

Yeah that video is sick.
My mrs' mates with sofles, the video director/camera person and the dude that did the soundtrack to it. Such a good combination of artists involved.

I have started getting into it a bit over the last few months. Live going out bombing on an evening. Still a bit toy, but even kings began as toy. Got a few sketches that I wouldn't mind plonking up high somewhere

Not Australia but a pretty good look into the NYC scene. Not as many people write these days, compared to the 80's and 90's at least but there is still plenty to see.

Always love murals but there is something to be said for some nice drippy mop tags.

Got around to watching this older doco today.

Seems like it wasn't such a successful documentary but there are some funny moments and quotes :)

Maybe not successful in terms of mainstream success, but in the graff scene this doco is very well known and respected.

The guy who made it, Eddie Martin I think his name is has done another one recently called 'all this mayhem' about Tas Pappas the old pro no 1 skater. I am looking forward to buying a copy.

I bought Jisoe on DVD, the dvd has some extra parts that aren't in the youtube versions I dont think.
