Good movies to watch while on...

Mark Whalberg's huge penis

In conversation with an older lady who claimed to have slept with Burt Reynolds, she swore the penis seen near the end belonged to him. This was also a rumor circulating when the film was first released. Burt is known for having a big one. However, other reports say it was a prothetic job, so who's to really know? I think it's pretty well established that it wasn't Mark Whalberg's though. Sorry to burst your bubble SLM.

I liked all those movies with the exception of Rock Star. The Doors was a particular favourite. I was a big fan in my younger dayz and I thought Kilmer played an excellent part.

Anyone seen "Tough Guys Don't Dance" yet? I'm keen to hear what others think. Defintiely one of Ryan O'Neil's better roles IMO. I must admit that I'm a sucker for Isabella Rossellini, perhaps because she looks somewhat like my girl. Anyway, if your want drugs, wild parties, witchcraft, murder, amnesia, crooked cops, a swinging preacher and his wife, and Helltown all in the same movie, Norman Mailer did it with this story - originally a book.

NO ONE has mentioned The Cell??

Be on a hallucinogen

Mind Fuck garuanteed

i liked Saw I, makes you think. Saw II aswel but not as good as the first one

an interesting watch is "maria full of grace" currently showing on world movies

Naked

A cynical and pessimistic Manchester drifter, Johnny (David Thewlis), arrives in London, afflicting his ex-girlfriend and her flatmate with an unsolicited visit. When he isn't having rough sex with the roommate or pestering the night watchman at a sterile, modern office complex, he berates his ex for her bourgeois urban tendencies. Leigh's portrait of a deteriorating world at the end of the twentieth century is an intense drama, which packs an even greater punch due to Thewlis’s stunning performance as the bitter Johnny.

link!

Glad this one was mentioned, one of my all time faves. Hilarious and thoroughly thought-provoking.

Here are my picks.

Being John Malkovich
Blue Velvet
Eyes Wide Shut/Clockwork Orange/2001 - anything Kubrick really except for Full Metal Jacket and Lolita
The Birds/Vertigo
Betty Blue
Donnie Darko
Kill Bill
Secretary
Boogie Nights
Easy Rider
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest
Spirited Away
The Big Blue

I would usually like to watch movies that are slower paced and have little or no dialog, below are a few I remember, will post more if you like it

- Baraka
- Chronos
- Pink Floyd the Wall
- Winged Migration
- Dances of Ecstasy

The Qatsi Trilogy:
- Koyaanisqatsi,
- Powaqqatsi and
- Naqoyqatsi

Some IMAX films are cool too

"Blueberry"also as may be known as "Renegade" with a great cast, Juliette Lewis, Temuera Morrison, Michael Madsen. Has to do with ancient peyote rituals and the like with native indians, set in the westren days, great last scene and the meaning behind the whole movie... A great one to watch if you get the chance %)

sorry if these movies have already been mentioned, but when your fucked you cant go past:
- Fear and loathing in las vegas
- Spun
- Pulp fiction
- The warriors
- requiem for a dream
- the acid house
- south park (sweet)

actually come to think of it these movies are just as good to watch when your straight, but then what would be the fun in that huh?:)

Across the Universe

Has anyone else seen "Across the Universe"?
I went to the movies to watch it last night. Really cool musical! Some scenes almost reminded me of Pink Floyd The Wall.
And it's the actors that actually sing the songs. Pretty good performances.
Special guests Bono and Joe Cocker also sing some songs.
Highly recommended !

Bono... lol... reminds me of the biggest piece of shit episode of South Park. how Bono was just fecal matter but his father decided to bring him up as a child and breast feed him into the "number 2" star he is today

Yeah, I think Bono had good intensions in the beginning, but power and money corrupted him. Joshua Tree/Rattle and Hum are the only really good albums in my opinion, back then he was one of us, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, the movie is quite good (considering today's standards). But you'll enjoy it better if you remember the Beatles songs and if you have a "green tinted sixties mind".

I like South Park, their spot on critical views are great. However, one must always see it as sarcasm and ironic, and avoid actually "enjoying" it. Mmmm, hard to but it in words, maybe the "itchy scratchy" characters from The Simpson would make it easier to get the message through... I sometimes get the impression some kids todays are completely missing the critical aspect of it and actually enjoying the dark humour on it's own. The initial purpose to shock people so they wake up and take action to change reality might be getting lost along the way.... sad world we live in

Yeah exactly. South Park is genius...

"The terrorist.. have successfully.. attacked our imagination.."

Here are a few movies:

1-> Alice in Wonderland (the original cartoon)
2-> Dark City
3-> The 13th Floor
4-> Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
5-> Blade Runner
6-> The Yellow Submarine
7-> Being John Malcovich (?)

Just a few off the top of my head there are probly many more. If your into electronic music look for inspiration in your favorite tracks. Its funny where some of those samples come from....

gotta say this was in my top 10 its been totally preceded by another film by the same creator "Adaption"

"Adaption" is heaps trippier and can border on psychotic in its construction of context and allusion. =D

human traffic is a pretty wild movie.

has anybody seen the tv series "the mighty boosh"? wow. thats a headfuck.
