Good Documentaries

why is Theroux a twat?

I'm not saying he is a twat, I'm saying I think he's a twat, it's my own subjective opinion.

Okay first of all cause he's a patronizing cunt, he always asks those annoying smuggy questions that are just aimed at embarassing and denigrating the people he's interviewing. Like in the meth doc, there's an old couple who have been daily meth users for years, they had to give up their children because of it, and he's just there asking provocative questions like "do you think choosing meth over your children makes you a good parent?"

He completely fails to emphatize or understand the people he interacts with, where they're coming from or why they ended up in the state they are. He seems to give out a moral judgement and look down on some of the human specimen featured in his documentaries.

I don't know maybe I just watched the meth one when I was in a bad mood and got a wrong impression of him, but really while I was watching that I was struggling to believe how some of the people refrained from decking him, probably just because of the camera and the fact he was paying them to be featured in there.

I thought he was annoying in the prison one too.

Theroux has run his course his first documentaries were interesting then you caught on what kenny said as in how he operates to get a provocation and answer out of people all while playing the innocent harmless interviewer.

He ain't as bad as that fat cunt Michael Moore though.

Just started watching this, I love how Luis gets put in his place by the woman in the beginning, class. He then meets Tom Metzeger, who shows him an Angry Aryan album(Too White for You), one of the guys from my gun club back home actually gave me that cd, some of the songs are hilarious, not exactly politically correct, but some of the lyrics are fun if you had a bit to drink. By the way I don't agree with what the people in the documentary say, but I sure love how they stand up to Luis.

This is awesome, Mormons vs Cartels in Mexico

Prussian blue a few years later that's the two girls in Louix's film that sing

Forward a few more years.

That's a typical case of "you should have sticked to meth son"

Haha, I remember reading the article a while ago, those girls have had such a messed up life. From being whored out to horny neo-nazis by the mother to being hippies in a field. Would make a great tv serie

Just finished watching...

William S. Burroughs - Commisioner of Sewers

If I've seen it before I must've forgotten it. Is pretty good. The interviewer is a bit of a tit but always good to hear Uncle Bill ramble. At least half of the doc is footage of Burroughs reading various bobz inetercut with clips from a few of his experimental films. Worth a watch for all you Burroughsians who've not seen this one yet :)

i watched this the other day:-

http://www.vice.com/en_uk/rule-britannia/the-british-wrestler-full-length

Kept my interest enough to see it right through to the end. Basically about a bloke from a neddy as fuck place called Saltcoats who has been into the UK wrestling scene since he was a kid and managed to get himself involved through self promotion (hence the VICE movie). Weirdly enough, it turns out that UK Wrestling is followed by grown adults and even more strange is that most of them did not have learning difficulties.

The obvious highlight from the film is one of the wrestlers special moves................"The T-Bagging" - Classic stuff

Icelandic Elf Sex

They really are a lil wacky those Icelanders. This particular Icelander likes to get it on with elves and wrote a guidebook on the topic. Apparently "they have average-size penises but they know what to do with them so size doesn't matter." But, she warns, "it's best not to ask for Golden Showers because elves don't like pee and poo like us humans do". Her hand-drawn illustrations are pure genius <3

The Recent season of Nat Geo channel's "Drugs, inc.": NYC, Alaska, Hawaii, and New Orleans so far. This week features the Montana drug scene.

Probably been mentioned already but watched this morning: Breaking the Taboo. Doc about the WoD arguing the case for legalisation featuring contributions from several world leaders past and present and narrated by Morgan Freeman. Such sentiments are becoming surprisingly commonplace in relatively mainstream media of late. One can but hope this is the earliest glimmer of change in the air.

There is a good documentary on netflix about dmt.

you say its good but i do think theres a lot of mumbo jumbo in there, don't get me wrong i thought what D. Nichols said was all great and credible but there were some accounts given that just didn't bode well with me.
