I approve of any steps taken to stop ticket touting - and that's why they've done it. You don't need utility and driving licence, one OR the other is fine.

Hmmm. But surely I have a right to sell my tickets if I choose not to go? I bought them, I am allowed to sell them on if I am unable to attend the event. I'm not in agreement with touts but people should have the ability to sell their tickets on if they choose to do so.

In any case this gives me another great chance to row with people over my rights as a consumer - something I always take great pleasure in :D

Touting - EVERYONE has the chance to buy tickets at the same time as everyone else. Touts can't log on to a site and order thousands of tickets at once. They have the same chances as anyone. I don't understand why tickets are seen as some kind of special case when they are the same as any other commodity. It isn't the touts that bother me for things like the FA Cup Final, it's the members of the FA who get the free tickets and then sell them on that cause the problem. Put all the tickets up for general sale/to the clubs and the problem would be drastically reduced.

I've bought tickets from touts before outside venues and it's been fine. Sure I had to pay over the odds but I felt that at the time I missed the chance to get tickets through official outlets and the tout invested his time to buy them - they can make a bit of profit on top if they like.

Tickets are normally non-transferable, so no - you don't have the right to sell it without permission of the event organiser.

Anyway, stop your whining - you'll have a great time even if you have to take a water bill with you :p

Is the chance to prove them wrong at all worth it though? Maybe bring a sneaky bill anyway, just so you can pull it out before they send you on your merry way home and "remember" you had one in your pocket anyway.

You had until june 30th to sell your tickets and they would change details etc for you. It seems a bit much but in reality it's alright, I don't think I know anyone who got checked last year it seems more just to deter people from touting.

Hmm I thought you were within your rights to sell tickets on if you genuinely cannot attend an event. Apologies if that's wrong.

I don't buy this "deterring touting" rubbish it's just another way for people to keep close tabs on everyone attending. :\

Jut tattoo a barcode on at birth it would save us all lots of hassle. :|

anyone got space in their car from the north. I figure paying someone for petty wil be cheaper than training it down.

Otherwise its a train to canterbury a few day sbefore and then a lift!

A few of our mates stewarded last year and i think they might be again this year, they had just as much fun as anyone else heh, a steward sold us some pills 2 years back woo

Megabus it, from manchester it will only be around a tenner.

My fancy dress outfit is called 'Banice' as it is a fusion of a popular yellow fruit and police based accessories.

Am buzzing about Glade but need to grab my spear and go
hunt me some resources though, always leave things to the last minute and have a frantic day sorting everything out.

Things to buy:

drugs
booze
paint remover + 53x measuring syringes
nangs, lots and lots of nangs and then more nangs
police style accessories
maybe some crisps for nourishment

^But its 'Riot Police' themed!!!!

Slutty policewoman???

Is there really any other option?

You could go in full riot gear with shield and baton!

Is anyone working at Glade? I've had an offer of stewarding or litter picking...

No no no no no - DON'T DO IT!
I've done litter picking once, and it was the worst job I've ever had.

8hrs of crouching down & bending over a sea of litter :X

That said, Gladers keep the place reasonable tidy, although I imagine it's a ming at the end....

Also, have I just imagined this, or is there supposed to be a big water fight on the saturday?

If it's my imagination, I would like to make it become reality - bring yer pistols! =D

I might go as a riot police smurf...I dunno why...the idea of painting myself blue and having riot gear appeals to me...random...
