Glade 2006

This is something I'd like to know, I need to figure out how the fuck Im gonna get there, and for cheap!

Your best bet, if you are not going by car, would be to book a train soon as it will be cheaper to London. The venue is going to be max one hour from London. If you book far enough in advance you can get to London from Newcastle for £1!!!

Last year there were shuttle buses going to and from the local station. I went by car so i cannot comment how packed/frequent they were.

IMO it will be the same location. By all accounts the owner of the majority of the locals wer ehappy having the festival there. I read on Glade talk that they are using the Glastonbury security fence as well so fence jumpers have minimal chance.

Last year they said it was going to be held in a differnet place but apparently it was the same location as in 2004. I doubt there are many locations which one could hold an event like Glade in the sothern region.

I would like to know where it is this year, i did like the old location and if they could stop the fence jumpers thatd be great. My plan as it stands is book a train to london then get a train nearer the time from london to whereever Glade is.

No chance, they said it was central, 90 mins from London. I reckon it's gonna be the same place it was last time.

they've applied for planning permission at the same place as last year- if it gets turned down, they have 2 other back ups as far as i know - one in oxfordshire, one in the south-east.

ah k was just a bit of a random rumour then probably, everyone hoping it was hitchable/cheap distance. Last years site was well good tho so its all good if it stays the same :D

Ticket news- it appears some more tickets will be released on the 1st June get your name down on this mailing list and you should receive an email in the next few days. This info was taken from Glade Talk

By the sounds of things it will only be a few hundred rather than few thousand they released last year.

Alright there?!

We've held some tickets back again this year... A few hundred last remaining tickets will be available from midday (GMT) on Thursday, 1st June from http://www.gtickets.co.uk/gladefestival

We do expect these last ones to go very fast so please have your mouse at the ready!

If you miss this opportunity then we also need volunteers for litter picking and for stewarding...

If interested in litter picking for us then please email Feidhlim Bryan at [email protected]

You'll get an email back from him explaining how it works, but basically you'll be required to pay a deposit, work a few shifts and then when you've done your bit you'll get your deposit back...

Oxfam are supplying stewards again this year... They're almost fully staffed but if interested then please check http://www.oxfam.org.uk/what_you_can_do/events/stewards/glade.htm

Marvellous! Can't wait... Is less than 2 months away...

Big love and that

The Glade team
