Lately I've seen a lot of threads with no BLUA issues closed before getting a chance to have any feedback. It seems like the prevailing course of action is to close first and let the grievances be aired afterwards, as if though giving an unsavoury thread a chance would cause harm. By closing such threads, the only thing that is accomplished is fast-tracking them to the second page (the fate of all [unstickied] theads, really), but closing them also incinerates the opportunity for a thread that might seem useless to anchor feedback that could be useful to the OP and others.
Long story short; what's the harm in giving a sour thread a chance?
