Jesus wept, speaking right now to a Nurse I know & she works...........in the UK ;)
e are chatting about this Lassa Fever outbreak & the hospital she is based at is the place where the cases have been recorded, what I just been told is horrific & I really wanna say what her husband had to put up with & how he had an "incident" shall we say with a woman who was pissing herself & sprayed BLOOD out all over the place & the people in charge didn't do several things.

I laugh at SARS-Covid2 but this Lassa Fever isn't a joke, it's like Ebola FFS!!!!!
Am I allowed to say what I've just been told by people on the very ground where this woman was being treated?
@F.U.B.A.R. @chinup @axe battler

@Zopiclone bandit lassa is fucking horrible!!

airborne hemorrhagic fevers are like my worst fear (they don't exist at present but my job involves pre empting potential bioterrorist attacks so we need to consider sch possibilities). and lassa is not studied enough, its one of the ones i deal with at work and the fucking refseq is from 1998. what a joke. how has no one bothered enough to actually update it? science being mostly done by white men strkes again.

of course you are allowed to say what you've been told. you're just not advised to take things as fact without evidence, and state things as such. there is much evidence for the absolute horrendousness of lassa fever.

WOW, OK I bow to The Queen, I had no idea.
The one that worries me the most is pneumonic plague, the day I learned about that scared me & who knows what places like Porton Down have stashed away, that Gain-of Function research in China should be shut down imho. The Japanese Cult Aum Shinrikyo had labs trying to make Ebola & various forms of Plague when they got caught, they had enough Sarin to kill the whole of Japan.

Well I'm not chatting shit here folks, if anyone is on Signal DM me & I will show you the evidence I've just seen, I'm NOT gonne send anything over an app apart from Signal folks.

A nurse I know who works at a place had the actual family who have this damn stuff, the woman is now at a place called Royal Free????
Her kid is dead, her husband is dead too, when she was confirmed as having it she had a line in her, the woman was going mad as in delirious & was also "soiling" herself, she pulled the line out of her hand & BLOOD sprayed all over the place, this woman I know has a husband who was directly sprayed by her blood & NOBODY sent him home to stay away from the public, he worked another 24 hour before the manager told him to go home. At the very least 5 more people were exposed t this woman & her blood/piss/poop etc...........

The BBC, Sky News etc are talking pure shite over this, when a woman who worked right through the SARS-Covid2 pandemic is worried that says it all, this person I know is a Tough Ass Bitch & if she is worried I take note.

lol no need man, i just design algorithms and analyse data, the molecular biologists are the ones i bow down to, its nuts what they can do given our poor understanding of almost all the molecular processes involved in such things.

pneumonic plague is nasty but as long as it doesn't gain a good suite of antimicrobial resistance genes it can be treated by antibiotics. viruses are scarier to me cos we don't have good antiviral treatments for most types of virus.

a nurse dealing with lassa patients is right to be worried, because it is transmitted through bodily fluids, and as you well know, it is quite easy to come into contact with those if you are treating someone with lassa fever. it is not airborne, so it is not that transmissble. which is why its mostly confined to west africa and therefore fucking western researchers don't even care enough about it to make high quality data available for people who might want to actually study it, and the countries its found on don't have the resources to produce this at present.

highly transmissible airborne viruses can infect more people, so even if their case fatality rates are far lower, they are more of a concern from a public safety perspective.

You think or know if that Lassa could be passed on by someone sneezing?
I know it's not passed by air but my point is if someone sneezed or coughed small bits of spit etc would spray out I assume & it could get on your skin etc.

All these weird things in West Africa scare me, they seem to have some really bizarre stuff over there in DRC, Liberia etc.
My Stepbrothers mate got something called Green Parrot Fever in Thailand which fucked him up badly but what comes outta Liberia is a whole other game.

i am about to go out so i don't have time to fact check myself but i don't think haemmorhagic fevers are transmitted by respiratory droplets. human to human transmission is more due to exposure to blood and waste products.

yeah, there is some fucking nuts stuff out there. i think its everywhere taht's still wild, just waiting for the right mutations so it can infect humans. they tend to make the jump in places where we haven't destroyed nature completely already, where people are encroaching further and further into places where host animals with sufficiently similar organ systems to us for a virus to easily jump from those hosts to us. nature is fighting back.

An Oxford Educated Doctor of Anthropology I speak to daily has said 100% the same thing as that above.

That'll do for tonight.

Actually didn't have any bodyload what so ever on truffels last night and had them on a full stomach and it was a better trip than last week a tiny bet meh could have been more full on.
I'm avoiding using something else like cannabis with them at the mo.

4-ho-met works out cheaper though at the moment, I should look at buying a grow kit of Psilocybe azurescens outdoor maybe which can end up in a fuck up and takes ages as in should be for next season? Or copelandia or other indoor grow kit and see if I can spawn them myself as in take spores etc...

we tend to always have some bits that won't go in the dishwasher needing washing, so i'll do that while somethings on the hob. i don't tend to wash up after i've cooked as well cos i can't be arsed.
Wow to go from a whitenbroon addict to a dishwasher owner in the space of like 2 years... Like that's the absolute epitome of bouncing back... Not joking.
