You coud do the preparation the night before and just switch the slow cooker on in the morning :).
Nothing can burn. Not sure if you can set the timer to start at x hour? That would be cool too.

Pressure cooker saves time as well if you want it to.
This is three appliances rolled in to one btw, cooks meat 50% faster.

Cooking is easy'ish, standing behind the hob for an hour is tedious.

probably.

i dunno, maybe they are more appealing to meat eaters. there's only so many variations on stew that i can be bothered eating.

i do most of my kitchen chores while waiting there's stuff to attend to on the hob.

Do you wash up as you go, or do the lot at the end?

we tend to always have some bits that won't go in the dishwasher needing washing, so i'll do that while somethings on the hob. i don't tend to wash up after i've cooked as well cos i can't be arsed.
Sacking offence. If I need to eat something quick, tin of soup for example, you warm it in a pan (never in the microwave!) then wash the pan before I eat the soup. Only takes a few seconds.

Have to wash up after eating otherwise the food dries onto the plate and makes it twice as hard to wash off.

mate you need to drop £650 on a dishwasher. it doesn't matter what you put in ours, it comes out sparkling.

i'm still in the habit of rinsing stuff before putting it in but my boyf doesn't and you can't tell which is which when its done.

stuff that doesn't go in the dishwasher that gets dried on i just rinse quickly, not doing a full wash while my food is going cold.

Not being middle class enough to own a dishwasher, this makes things much less of a pain in the arse...
Pfft you don't have to be middle class to own a dishwasher. There are two models available a fast one and one a bit slower.

You do have to rinse the dishes a tiny bit afterwards.

I do have a dishwasher, still prefer to do them by hand.

we have a dishwasher that hasn't been used for years - cos washing up is 'my job' talk about having a dog and wagging yer own tail..
