It's all this Online Safety Act bollocks, and other countries following suit, and Australia where BL is hosted, is particularly hardline in many authoritarian ways, for a supposed "democracy" anyway, including their 'policing' of internet policies and freedoms, or lack of them.
Websites are risking huge fines if they aren't enforcing laws, rules, and regulations. But I'm not sure if BL is too big to fly under the radar, it's certainly not a massive website, in terms of it's numbers of visitors and members these days.
I also miss the days when the internet was like the wild west, and anything went. Everything is so sanitised these days. You Tube is especially infuriating, with many content creators not even daring to say the word "sex" any more, I kid you not, for fear of getting de-monetised. It's absolutely pathetic, well far beyond pathetic, I can't even think of the right words to describe such a dire situation!
It's like we've gone back to the 1950s, or even the fucking 1850s. I'm waiting for the backlash. But it may be a long wait, there's a huge and painful lack of 'rebels' and anti-establishment, anti-authoritarian folk these days, it seems to me.

in the interests of transparency, loginnotsecure received a warning for posting private information publicly. he had 10 prior warnings on his record and this warning resulted in a 1-month ban which expires june 5th.
zopiclone bandit received 3 separate warnings for threats of physical violence against another bluelighter. he had 19 prior warnings on his record and these warnings resulted in a 3-month ban which expires august 14th.

I concur. BL is honestly very chill with the rulesโฆ but some sort of disciplinary action is necessary for cases of severe rule-breaking. Stick is always a last resort though.
