๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

Interest rates rarely ever seem to be higher than inflation, although I can remember them being 12% and more in the late 1980s, and inflation was around 5% at that time if google is correct.

I think this is rare though, it's usually the other way round, so although interest payments on savings feels like (and is) 'free money' to an extent, in real terms anyone relying on interest in their savings will in effect be losing money due to the eroding effect of inflation.

In recent times although interest rates have been creeping up, they have generally been less than half the rate of inflation, which was as high as 11% a few months ago, which was more than double the interest rate at that time.

Pisses me off that the banks charge far more interest on mortgages and loans than they ever give on savings interest. To say the system is rigged in their favour at the expense of the customer doesn't come close to covering the situation.

Off to try N.A. again at the meth clinic, tried once before but the sad-ass looking mother fuckers put me off talking about "God" but that was over 10 years ago.
The moment I heat anyone mention "God" tonight I'm going fully naked, cover myself in human ash & start shouting praises to Shivya & Kali.

These N.A. people must have something of use I can take & implement into my recovery.

I feel I may be the only Sanskrit chanting junkie in the room though.

Can someone tell me what the lure of a festival is?
I'm watching Isle of Wight Festival and it looks horrific, always the same "white people" demographic as the camera shows the crowd, I'd prefer Covid-19 in my bed than to be exposed to those kinda people.

Take Burning Man in the USA too, its gone from eating 2C-T-7 in the desert to a load of Tech-bro types taking shitty acid & planning some data stealing app.

I'd fly the Enola Gay over every festival I swear to God.

Drugs booze and women. Or men depending on what you're into.

Anything else under *that* flag is a MH issue.

THe music is the obvious answer. And checking out, or more, all the fit members of the opposite sex.

But I do agree that so many of the younger crowd especially all tend to look exactly the same, same clothes and same accessories, and hair styles etc.

But even though some musical line ups can be very good, unless you don't move from your spot or battle through huge crowds, you can end up about half a mile away from the stage, so you cant see a thing, unless watching on a big screen, and the volume can vary with the wind direction. So you'd be better off watching on the TV at home in many ways, if you just want to see and hear the bands. Sometimes of course the atmosphere is better at a festival, but not always.

Nowadays, I really don't see the appeal of festivals, stadium gigs, (apart from really special ones like Live Aid etc) or huge outdoor gigs, or even large arena concerts, unless you get a good spot. If I can't get close enough to the artist or band to be able to see them clearly with my own eyes, then personally I don't think it's worth going, as I don't see the point. These expensive stadium concerts when your right up in the stands and the performer is just a speck in the distance - no thanks.

I'd much rather catch live music in smaller, more intimate venues, any day of the week. Not only are the tickets so much cheaper, but the whole experience is so much better in my opinion. I think many other people think the same thing too.

'festivals' is a huge scope of events though, you can't compare something like a huge commercial festival to a horsedrawn traveller festival for instance

I too would prefer a weekend's covid to havin to attend IOW etc, or stuff like Reading (shudder)

But I've had some of the best times in my life chilling with likemindeds at different types of festivals alogether with an ambience much freer than day to day life

The body's reaction to being cut off from opiates still shocks me tbh. So many times when I've had to run for the toilet is always an experience, the last time the shit came outta me like a broken tap & the guy in the cubicle next to me began to dry wretch, he went "Oh My God" then made vomit noises, that's happened several times before.
For some reason I always puke up foam like liquid & my shit is always hot liquid that is a light tan / mustard colour. It always burns my arse too, it feels like I've just shat hot curry for some reason.
Fuuuuck... That story made me laugh so hard I nearly wet myself. I feel for ya, bud. Been there too, plenty of times. It's literally shit.

And now the crackhead idiot has blown the whole electric system in the flat, I've never heard such a bang in my life it was like a Shotgun going off & it happened at just gone 1am. Instead of saying "sorry" he said someone had tried to kill him by fucking with the wires!!!!!!!!

Anyone wanna help me kill this asshole & dispose of his body?
Anyone have several Pigs I can borrow for a day or two or a Farm I can arrive on that has no CCTV? ;)
