๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

Yeah that screaming noise is Horrendous, the Damn thing was dragging the trap around which made me feel so guilty.
The one this morning got the trap across its back, if they have a spinal column it's paralysed. When I let it go outside it just sat there, it seemed to be in shock. I guess being crushed then picked up so you're swinging 180ยฐ the wrong way then dropped onto your head must really fuck with their grasp of Reality.
You could have stomped the injured mice on both occasions and put them out of their misery.

I know it's not nice to do, and you may feel bad, but it is the kinder option really, as they're just going to be left suffering if they have their back or leg broken by the traps.

You made me feel even worse now.

I'll never forget this poor pigeon, my mate was in the kitchen and called me in as he saw feathers all over the garden & some odd shape. We went to look and it was a pigeon some cat had got & it was paralyzed. We decided it was best to end it's life, his great idea was to bury it alive!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

I was appalled by his logic, I got a spade and with one quick smack it was in bird heaven. It's why I don't like cats, I could understand if the cat ate it but just to Fuck it up is kind of sick.

In a way this is why I'm going vegetarian next year, the suffering of the animals is too much for me to weigh up in my mind.

I could never do those glue traps again. Extremely effective, extremely cruel to the suffering mouse. Not many people seem able to do the quick stamp either, so the weird mix of murder-compassion only makes things worse.

Cats are probably the most sustainable solution, but then it starts to get a bit like the lady who swallowed a fly...

Oh yeah, that is the other side of cats. They can lose interest fairly quickly if it doesn't really seem edible (cats won't eat big feathers), and some leave the poor thing half dead. My killer queen Twinkle used to catch ducklings but had no idea what to do with them, so would just drop them in the house for us to deal with, and we'd then have to try and seek out Mummy duck to return it.

A quick death is more merciful than a long slow suffering one surely?

I know which one I'd rather have.

That's not to say I don't feel terrible for some time afterwards whenever I've have had to kill mice caught by glue traps in the past. But the way I see it, it's the lesser of 2 evils, the mice have to go, glue traps are very effective, but the big draw back is that they only do half a job. They only catch the things alive, and then the next step is then up to the householder.

I guess drowning the mice by dunking the glue trap in a bucket might be slightly more palatable to many people than having to stomp the mice or give them a blow to the head with a block of wood etc. Not sure though as you'd not be spared the close up sight of the squirming mouse as he gets carried to his watery death.

That was the point I was making - the glue traps don't kill em, they just stick em and cause a ton of distress. If you aren't around when they stick (ie night time) they spend hours gradually getting more and more stuck to the trap and struggling. It's torture and surely one of the cruelest and most inhumane ways?

I don't disagree.

But unfortunately sometimes when all other traps and measures have failed, and your home keeps getting invaded by mice, then last resort measures need to be implimented.

It's not so bad if you're on hand to dispatch the mice quickly after they're caught, as I was on one occasion, but unfortunately more often than not, as you say, they are trapped at night, and will have to suffer until the morning.

Perhaps not the most humane death. But it's not a human, it's a rodent

A filthy fuckin rat!

And drying of the hantavirus, LCMV, tularemia, bubonic plague or weil's disease/leptospirosis contracted from having rats around the place is also a terribly inhumane way to pass

used to poison them with some granules....and these are rats, huge bastards.also sometimes used sticky traps to catch it...and in the morning they are still alive...just close the trap like a book(something like a sandwitch with a mouse/rat inside and smash it with a big hammer.it's not pleasure, but i cant't let it go,cause it is already sticked....so this way is quick and effective.happily there is no around rats around so much....a lot of carnivore predators roaming around....and all are hungry

I'd keep them in the car to launch at people going 30 in a 40 and 40 in a 30.
lol - it became part of our (me and kids) routine - how many mice would be needing a lift to the woods that day?

after a month or so they were all gone somehow. mice are nice! (Rats, on the other hand...)

I once headshot a mouse with an airgun.
you're going straight to hell my man

(no worries tho, the devil has all the best drugs and music)

free the mice!

When i was kid however, I heard me mate's sister shrieking about a rat in her room...this fukking HUGE bastard hell-rat then managed to squeeze through an extremely small gap under the door and rain straight for the camping mattress I was lying on. I had a masive adrenaline hit, shot outta bed, trapped the beast in a sheet and, in frenzy, smashed fuck out of it on the wall. It's one of my most vivid childhood memoris

these animals like mouses and rats are big trouble in rurals.they ate all, that u are gathered from the field.transmited very bad ilnesses too.here everybody is in war with them.normal.rurals.poor people...working on the field almost all year....dryness,hailstorms,animals that could destroy all ur efforts for the bread on the table.so......no remorse about that
