๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

One would imagine, logically, that he smuggled his arse to glastonbury disguised as a highly trained professional hitman and camped out in a portapotty sewerage reservoir for the duration
Nah, he wouldn't bother himself with the commercial behemoth mainstreamery of Glastonbury. 35 years ago, even 25 years ago at a push - sure. Not now though

@F.U.B.A.R. is more likely to schlep into "Working Classtonbury" ( a festival some crew we know are partly involved in staging this weekend, alas I cannot attend but looks like a blast)

Fubz checked in with staff after some emails to him and he is doing good. He's gonna be a Grandpa in a few days, he has a good handle on his drinking and said he's just trying to do the right thing in life and he's feeling good. We were all happy to hear from him.

He didn't explicitly tell us to tell all you cunts hello in this thread but he probably meant to because we told him his EADD pals were thinking about him as well as we were.

Trying to figure out a way to get from Camborne to Lizard, Lizard Point.
Camborne seems from Google Maps to be in the middle of nowhere really, St Ives is bloody miles away & Lizard Point looks like a bloody nightmare to get to BUT get to it I damn WILL!!!!!

13 miles walk with 15-18kg on your back isn't my idea of Fun tbh.

The buses cost ยฃ2 a trip or you can get a ยฃ5 day pass to go anywhere all day on the Cornwall network. Click below for the timetable:

That'll do Sir.
I gotta get away, the last few months have been Horrific living with this Goddamn Rock smoker & add in what feels like a Midlife Crisis with compound Smack Interest at an APR Rate I can't afford I need to "Reset" my head. Mississippi Fred Mcdowell's "Goin Down To the River" is something I can relate to on more than one way. It seems a choice between goin down to the coast to wash my trouble down or I will be going with a bag of sand tied to my leg & into the Canal I shall go.

Sounds like you need a break - good luck <3

If you're going down to Lizard point, consider stopping off at Goonhilly Down Earth Station and nature reserve on the way. It feels kinda alien (in a nice 'change of scenery' type way) and you can easily spot adders, lizards and other unusual wildlife on the heath. Best visited on a sunny day:

You allowed on there?
I always wonder when I see dishes like that what great subwoofers they would make in regard to the scoop.

I think the visitor center closed a few years ago when BT sold it off. It's now part of the Deep Space network for NASA and ESA. But I'm sure you can still visit the nature reserve and certain parts of the site.

There is a guided tour around the perimeter of the satellite station, taking in ancient burial mounds and a 5,000 year old standing stone. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with some of the rarest plants in Britain, including the fragrant orchid and the hairy buttercup.

Oh, also, you've done the Eden Project, right? Cuz you shouldn't be down there without doing at least that. It's fab! There's tons of other splendid gardens you can visit in Cornwall too.

no 39 bus, change onto no.34 bus, ยฃ4, takes over 90 minutes though

Or, for a more anthropologically interesting way to get there, look at map, identify best route, walk out of Camborne, get your thumb out while displaying a sign with "Lizard" written on it (while attempting to not look like a serial killer :) I reckon you'd get there quicker than the bus

It's roughly 22kg just for two slabs of ale, which is what I usually take when going camping. Plus camping gear on top. Sack up sunshine
