If I didn't know the history of prohibition in the UK & USA I'd swear people were telling lies about Legal Heroin Scripts in the UK upto the 1970's.
 
It doesn't sound that bad of a job in a way. I've sure done worse but I really have an issue with being "Social" with people, I can imagine me being asked about going on holiday & my reply is "I'm off to Varanasi to spent time in the Cremation Ground with The Aghori, I plan to watch loads of dead people be burned to ash while getting stoned. Maybe even do some Meditation upon a corpse I pull out of the river"

I had to sell BOTH Legs on Tor to a shady Chinese Cybernetics Lab to fund my habit & I have no wheelchair to get around.

Yeah, but it's a bit of a risk that JCP might actually check up with my employer as to the actual circumstances of my leaving (if / when I do) and then I could be well and truly up shit creek for withholding very pertinent information.

In one previous job where I actually was fired, where the HR person had previously told me, for some reason, that he liked me, and then later on when he had to fire me, he told me not to worry about a reference for my next job as he said that he would take care of that. I think maybe all the previous 'positive spin' had been an attempt to make my firing go easier (for him) and maybe me. He could probably see it coming way before I could given how very heavily I was into benzos and stims at that time. All the warnings just could not break though my benzoed state of denial.

Unfortunately I'm fairly sure that my current work place would not be quite so 'benevolent' if any future employer or JCP or whoever asked them to verify the circumstances of my leaving.

Don't think they disclose how employees leave anymore

I certainly know everywhere in the UK where I was legally employed wouldn't give a bad reference to anybody regardless of how useless they were

I really should invest in a corkscrew one of these years

Fucking around looking for a suitable philips screw, the screwdriver and pulling the cork out by the screw using a claw hammer is getting old

Especially now my meaty boi screw has gone awol

I use a wooden spoon and just push the cork into the bottle. :laughing:

Heat the bottle just above the cork with a lighter/flame, rotate the bottle so you're warming the whole neck of the bottle and not just in one spot. Warms the air gap under the cork and pushes the cork out on it's own.

Edit:

You can also put the bottom of the wine bottle in a shoe/trainer etc, and smack shoe/bottle combo against a wall, air pressure pushes the cork out.
