My ex always used to tell me what a tit i was whenever we were going camping, as I'd get as giddy as a schoolgirl the night before, loading the car according to the checklist, getting the music playlist ready. I could never sleep the night before i was so excited, and the journey into whichever national park we were heading for (usually snowdonia or the lakes - i have to at least one mountain climbed whenever im ina tent) was always brill, stop early for full english then get the tunes and a spliff going once I was awake and alert.

We have friends in barcelona so we always had a couple off weeks a year with them, but despite having good holidays with them and good foreign breaks in general I used to get well stressed out when flying. Neve helped if we were going somewhere I had no connects either as I would be well concious of the quarter of hash stuck up my but.

No worries M'darlin. I'm so excited. I can appreciate excited pre-camping joy! I've always loved camping. This camping trip is just extra special! Great friends great love and I really just need this time.

Camping and a long weekend for bonus - should be great. I'm off to Sri Lanka next week so got a bit of preparation - have to go buy some clothes for wet weather (not really used to mud or rain etc). I hate shopping especially for clothes / shoes.

Holiday starts on Wednesday - got a long weekend at home so beers, bears n bbq (oh my) before we leave.

SHOPPING!!!

My best friend loves it and it pisses her off that she must drag me about whilst shopping and me bitching the entire time. You'd think she'd learn. Last Christmas Shambles had to basically hold my hand over the phone whilst I was forced to wade through the masses. I am not good at shopping. I hate it and it hates me. Don't mind shopping online but alas, if for my own clothes I must do this in person.

I feel your pain Bear. The pain is real <3
 
Is this the shittest summers day ever?

Live Aid was thirty years ago today. I remember it well, mainly because it was a scorching hot day in London. I'm having trouble reconciling it was on the same date as what is happening outside today. Drove to ****** this morning with artics splashing spray over the roof of my car. Fucking miserable. Can't wait to get out of this country next week.
 
it is a odd one isnt it, i've had sun in the mornings then heavy rain and thunder in the evenings all month, last year it was scorching hot for weeks on end it seemed. I think I might write to my MP and complain about it.

Europe basically. Croatia eventually but driving so...France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia on the way. You'll be getting t'pod notifications. ;)

Love the UK. I'd stay and be a tourist but I can't take the monotony. :|

That sounds like a good trip. I went to Croatia lat year and had a really nice time, except for the mosquitoes which were awful in more rural areas.
