There's a difference between actually dealing with a problem and covering it up temporarily with a quick fix.

Truth. I'm glad I had some (read: lots) of therapy, it has really made a difference in a way that antidepressants just didn't.

I've been called many things Evey but never poetic...but I'll take it =D

I looked at the insanity workout and it does indeed look ‘Insane’
Before that I was very close to purchasing the PX90 workout plan.
Either way these workouts take a huge commitment and I take my hat off to anyone who sticks with them.

I concentrate more on the weights side of things rather than the cardio.
My problem is putting weight on so anything that involves lots of cardio basically has the weight falling off my.
I’m tall so being overly thin is not a good look for me.

The weights are hard going as it takes months to build your strength up then if you miss the gym for 2 weeks it’s like someone has pressed the reset button and your back to the start.
Back in the gym tonight after a 3-4 week break so it’s gonna be a toughie.
Been a little too fond of the vino & baccy recently so I’ll pay the price tonight.

Love that after gym buzz…best drug I’ve experience to date (that has zero comedown)

If you find getting to the gym regularly a bit of a bother have you tried bodyweight fitness? You can do do most of the beginners routine without equipment in your living room: https://fitloop.co/

I'd like the idea of doing starting strength or strong curves but I know that I'd be unlikely to make it to the gym four or five times a week consistently..

Wibble I had a fully equipped gym at home which was the best money I've ever spent.
Literally work out in your underpants without having all the vain shit you get in most commercial gyms (other than my own vanity of course)

I bet you had mirrors on all the walls, so you could watch yourself kissing your biceps and winking at yourself every 2 minutes.

I'm between residences at the moment which is forcing me to visit a commercial gym.
Guy I'm going with trains 6 days a week and is gonna destroy me but you need someone with that drive as a training partner.

Got a pal who does all the body weight exercises and he has an excellent physique so it def works that's for sure.
To be honest it doesn't take much home equipment to get a full/proper workout.
Some free weights and a cheap incline bench which also doesn't take up too much space either.

I've got some free weights but we definitely don't have space for a bench and the kit needed for deadlifts etc.We're slightly bursting at the seams in our one bed flat.
 
Hi everyone... Been a while since I dropped in so I hope you are all doing ok...

I used to be a running freak but slightly scared of it now due to my many years of stim abuse....
 
My diet is pretty much spot on all the time but that force feeding yourself when your not hungry doesn’t feel/seem natural to me.
I have Tardis Belly™ ... its definitely not natural. My stomach thinks that not full = hungry ... most of the time. It can be tamed but it takes stims to get me back there and to a fully shrunk, nice normal wheelie-bin sized interiour.

youre very much a perfectionist. I have ultimate respect for anyone taking care of themselves to such an extent. Works of art, all of you body bears.
 
What a shitty week so far. Rejection after fucking rejection jobwise, coming down with the flu and the weather's turned shit.
The only thing keeping me from going apeshit on stims is my girlfriend. Could really really REALLY do with a lucky break right now :(
 
Stims from a fitness point of view are the most destructive and that's why I give them a body swerve

I find stims are actually awful for my weight. I have quite a low self of worth when it comes to what my wobbly bits look like (who knows why tho because obv I'm perfect and so fine italics for jokes nomaysayin) and when I first had my wee binge I lost a stone which excited me to no end. I did realise this was a little daft to get excited about so once they were all gone I ate a few tubs of healthy icecream.

I was actually at my happiest when I was going for 5-10 mile walks spread throughout the week and then a 10mile on a sunday. It calmed me down, stopped the racing anxious thoughts and was generally quite peaceful. I think I'd like to start walking again now the weather is nice but I am not a good motivator.
 
Aye Garden the weight loss on stims can be quite dramatic. Any weight loss though whether it be stim related, some starve yourself fad diet or nutritionless low fat meals always end up going back on because you have to start eating normally at some point again.

A half decent diet with some sort of exercise routine carried out over a period of time will keep you at your optimum weight. Your body gets that used to proper nutrition that when your presented with unhealthy food you literally can’t stomach it.

All these weight watchers meals etc are horrendous for your health…you’d get more nutrition from eating the cardboard box. Get yourself back into the walking. People think you’ve got to be doing 2 hr sessions in the gym etc to be getting anywhere fitness/weight wise but a few decent walks a week is gonna burn a right few calories. End of the day it isn’t rocket science…want to lose weight then you’ve got to burn more calories than your consuming.

Love walking, time to think and take in your environment then the calming sense of wellbeing once you’ve completed your walk. Get your arse in gear Garden, get your shoes on and get it done….tis a simple process ;)

The Meph days were tough on the body.
Jesus I still shudder at the mind crushing comedowns and days on end without food.

All of my work outs during those days were watching porn and chugging for 12 hours 8(

Good to hear walks calmed you down & stopped racing anxious thoughts.. i get that from time to time, mainly when i wake up in the mornings.. its horrible. it's beautiful for walking around here, i love adventuring around the fields etc especially on sunny days. you should deffo get back into the walking
 
Oh guys I wasn't saying I was gonna use the stims as an aid to lose weight! I am daft but I'll not be silly this time.

I agree with the walking beginning again tho! The weather is looking up once more so I just have to get myself into the spirit! I have a number of wonderful apps still that help keep track I am just being lazy and am not having many body woes!
