Why should I buy a license for something I don't use? As I said, I've only got it because it's cheaper to get my services as a package rather than an individual item.

The Virgin box isn't even setup, or installed. I don't think it was even setup when the guy came as I didn't have a TV. Not sure if you can set it up without a TV?

I had to pay £59 a month for 120mb internet, or £60 for the phoneline plus L+ (or whatever it's called) TV package.

For an extra quid, the phone ain't bad. Came with the 1TB Tivo box too. (I've put the hard drive in an external caddy!) Free storage!

I was quoted at £59 for the broadband on it's own as I've said, or £60 with everything else.

I'm gonna give them a ring tomorrow now though, if you're paying almost half what I am!

They can get a search warrant if they have reasonable proof you have a TV, apparently it needs to be more than you don't have a license but an official stating they have heard a TV in the property can be enough and it has been rumoured that some may not have been very honest about these things.

I've no idea how many they bother to do this with, I think many are stupid enough to admit they have a TV on the door step, since you genuinely do not have a TV I can't see you having anything to worry about.
