though to be fair (and console myself that i wont get to go again for a loooonnnggg time if ever), the lakes in england are amazingly gorgeous too, but i found the atmosphere here very different.

I've got a mate with a full firearms license, love seeing him, shotguns and .22 rifles. I've been tempted to apply for a shotgun license for a couple of years,

magpies are shit. My missis has to shout Morning Captain! if she sees a single magpie. I'm still not sure why.

Shooting the .22 is alright, if you get a feel for the ballistics, very prone to wind drift though and after 30 yards or so it gets a bit ridiculous.

I love fresh mackerel. This year there have been far fewer worms in the mackerel than usual. the last 2-3 years have been really bad for it. I don't worry about it unless they've burrowed into the flesh.....you can always tell a mackerel with bad worms before you even cut it open, the body shape, the colouring, the lack of vigour on the retrieve..

Cod often have a few worms in the flesh too though, why don't they bother you?

You get any bass up your way now the mackerel are about? i kow there are goood sandeel populations up there, and with the warmer waters there should be some bass up there by now. Oh well, you have your cod, I've still never had a shore caught cod, plenty of big fuckers on the boat though =D, I *imagine* it's a rare catch up your way a shore caught bass?

yeah .22's and wind drift, fast dippping trajectory, not good. Mate's new Wierauch he's been clean killing pigeons at 60 yards. Not sure a .177 would take down a rabbit at that range though.

Not sure if anyone remembers I posted a while back my wife was caught doing 104mph on motorway. She's never heard anything back about it - 12 odd weeks now... In the clear?
 
By police car. Got pulled over and read her rights. It was an empty road so maybe he took pity on her...?

Or there is a big backlog and the summons will come through any day now...

hah, I can't keep any secrets from this place :o

What was your crow murder count btw? I'm hoping you changed your mind and worked out how to make your chicken/egg space crow proof instead. Crows are awesome birds .. beautful creatures and so fucking intelligent ... check em out in this ... BBC Nature's Weirdest Events .... Chris Packham is der man.

Well, i removed all their nests this evening. If they come back at 5am and wake me up, im gonna ice em. (thats karma working in my facvour against them for being noisy fuckers)

coating some of the eggs they snatch in very very hot chilli powder might be an option, but unfortunately, they may just have to be ELIMINATED.

I guess it achieved its aim though - my wife is a lot more circumspect with her speed now. I'm no closer to learning how to drive....
 
fukken, just woke up after a couple hours of sleep, bloody nightmares again. Almost shouting when i woke up. had to get up and have a cup of tea.

I wonder if its since I tried a few of these pyrazolam....or just stress, it mostly involves being treated like shit by people around me, like in really evil ways.

anyone seen 'glorious 39' by stephen poliakoff? i feel like the girl who plays glorious, and how she gets treated. I'm, a fucking prisoner.

Ah man leave the crows alone... I was at Marwell Zoo the other day and by far the coolest animals there were the swarms of prehistoric looking crows...
