So it's not just me that finds the nights unbearably hot then! Don't understand it... fine during the day then the heat gets turned up at night!

There's probably a 5-10degrees difference between my upstairs rooms and downstairs at the mo.

I'm moving my bedroom to downstairs in the next few days, no joke. I even get too hot in the winter tho, so have been wanting to make this switch for some time.

It's positively cool downstairs atm, lovely temperature
 
Leave all the windows open and then turn around to see huge moths bumping off the wall they are so fat they cant carry themselves, then a good 20 round the light. Only way to get to sleep though is with the breeze.

It's totally the opposite here/for me. Today has been reallllllly uncomfy, I can feel my little foot sweating away in my resin cast. Mmmmmm

Your house/room will be hotter at night because high thermal mass materials such as concrete and brick absorb heat during the day and release it during the cooler nights. Free heating; aint science wonderful?
 
Maybe, although I don't have insulation in my walls so I think they radiate more heat to the night sky than to my bedroom. My entire home is on the upper level, so like Marmalade's bedroom I think I get the dubious benefit of the heat from downstairs... Good (allegedly) in Winter but not in this weather.

Anyone else have a daddy long legs infestation? I felt bad for them so grabbed them one by one and let them out the window. Then the fuckers mounted a 2nd assault. Retained my cool (somehow, in this heat!) and altered my technique to open and close the window for each eviction. They may have lost a few legs but they have too many anyway. Six is just greedy...or an evolutionary advantage...one of the two! I think it was bill hicks who said something like 'the light bulb really fucked things up for all the moths!'

Yeah it's fucking hot. I'm on an upper floor too and if I open the window it's just like being a fan assisted oven, all the hot air from the rest of the building being drawn up and over me and out the window, urghh.

you want some proper rusty, squealy hinges on your window frames or failing that a beam interruption alarm that involves an industrial IR laser. Would probably keep out daddy longlegs aswell as theiving cunts / axe murderrers / rapists / wild animals whatever it is you're afraid of.

to be fair i'm being paranoid, but after the experiences i've had with break ins i'm v on edge. every time my house comes into view i start looking for evidence of a break in. fucking dumb thing is the last person to steal anything form here was there legally, fucker conned his way into my heart and my home.

better still dont sleep at night, give the illusion lights are out. sit in a darkened room bbbat at the ready, chances are some chancer will at one time in the next few years attempt to burglarize or whatever. you will probably get charged with serious assault but you will be satisfied
 
any fucker that gets cuaght in my house would be lucky with serious assault. i'd torture them for several months so they can see how it feels for me.

back in reality, i'd run away as i'm a fucking weakling.
