Ha ha! What a terrible start to the day. edit: that was @ crackhead but fits anyway, maybe minus the 'ha ha!'

I've just thrown a glass of water at a cat. Spotted the little fucker which I think has been laying massive stinking yellow turds by my back door and had a go.... not a drop touched it, but the sight of the ribbon of water arcing through the air was enough to send it sprinting away in sheer terror.

My garden is tiny, but when a cat ventures in, it's pretty hard to navigate out, except for one spot ... too much greenery and a few pretty unclimable trees. I love cats but I feed the birds, so it can only be one or the other.

My hose is right outside my kitchen door and normally I leave it on Jet spray mode, so if I see a cat from the window, I just stealth open the door reach to turn the tap on, then bam motherfucker! ... they usually shit bricks because there's no quick or obvious exit strategy and I'm pretty much blocking the way they got in. Cats don't like jumping through hawthorne or briar roses.

They often sleep on next door's shed and watch the birds from there ... the hose comes in handy for interrupting their afternoons kip too.

Before I started to use the hose, I just kept a filled jug of water on the kitchen windowsill.

My Ma's garden is sorta medium size n very Birdie friendly . Have gone to great lengths to keep cats out over the years . Even bought a high power fukin water pistol thingy .
Many times i have nearly done myself n injury trying to soak a moggy .

Just had a terrible dream where I was trapped in a recession-hit Legoland Windsor with my family. All the shops were closed and the waterpark was a hazardous mess.

A premonition of the future?

A supersoaker water gun brings a whole new level of joy to it. I need to try that at my own Ma's. Mine's too small for those kinda shenanigans tho.

PTCH, I didn't undertstand what you wrote before about jobbies cause of how you phrased it ... did this happen in your own house or summat?

If so, minging start to the day.

Hope you don't get cotton mouth and memory loss at the same time cos that's going to end badly.

Well I've just had an argument about not wanting to get a cat. On a positive not I'm not going to be a father in the immediate future. :D

Hahaha. There's a burst water main somewhere nearby and everyone's water is fucked. Brown water is coming out the taps etc.

The main way of avoiding that is to not fire air rifles in the street.

Eeeh, them were the daze! These days if you shoot an air rifle you get the fuckin armed response squad shoving SERIOUS weaponry in yer face..

.22LR is not at an air rifle, it's a small firearm caliber

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.22_Long_Rifle

I'm in a rural area, people shoot all the time, my neighbour blasts pigeons with a shotgun regularly and that's much much noisier than a wee .22LR

Your welcome to shoot as many Sea Gulls as you want round here , they have taken over the City . It's a mess .

The Pigeons can't even get a look in . Sorry i thought you were talking about Garden Birds .

Operation Capture The Darkies is in full swing.

LOL... it's fucked up. In the last week there have been packs of border patrol officers and feds at various tube and train stations basically stopping anyone who isn't Aryan and demanding to see their papers, and threatening to arrest people who ask what they're doing. Yep.

The activity of the last couple of weeks (eg this, and racistvan) looks like a desperate panic response to me. It doesn't look coordinated, it doesn't look considered and it doesn't look like it's gone through the usual channels. I have a feeling that someone in govt has suddenly realised that they've underestimated something somewhere by an enormous factor and they're trying to appear to do something about it before the news breaks.

Yes, good point. But it goes even further than that these days.. You now have to have written permission from the landowner, be a certain distance away from a road, keep it covered at all times when not in use etc. etc. otherwise you're looking at a criminal record for a firearms offense. I had my first air rifle aged 10. We used to go shooting in the local woods without a thought, and I was looking forward to buying my lad his first air rifle (it used to be like a rite of passage getting yer first .177), but that's just not possible these days, just like you can't even carry a fuckin penknife any more.. Jeezus, this country is just getting more and more fucked up with every passing year :X
