I would never log into BL over my mobile providers data network. The login form has pitiful 'security' measures from the point of view of any third party observing the connection who wanted to know your login and password, and the site as a whole isn't even protected with SSL. Why doesn't BL have an SSL certificate? they cost peanuts and would at least provide some reassurances....
GPRS and 3G are encrypted over the air AFAIK, in the clear within the mobile provider granted but I don't see any additional risk compared to domestic broadband

If your mobile provider is handing over data to GCHQ, and they are by law a party to RIPA then they have plenty opportunity to associate your mobile with online actiivity like logging into a drugforum and posting about your exploits.
You can use a vpn from your mobile aswell as at home.
