Being an overconfident careless cock, and apparently he bragged about speeding on his facebook page or something, i bet he wants to kill himself

yeah cornish bita wonk

a bit of wonk to allign the tail end of that wonky out and everything is slap bang hunky fuckin doodley dangley pop jibbery dorey

If Spanish business practise is anything like Uk business practise he probably gets blulied to fuck by his management on a daily basis.

When i lived in Spain the Renfe high speed trains were (and probably still are) amazing, and if the train was more than 5, or 10 miutes lates, even on a cross-Spain trip all passengers would get a refund.

I imagine if this happens management get shit, and decreased bonuses etc, so they in turn will bully and harass their employees, not explicitally urging them to turn a blind eye to Health and Safety, but certainly implying it.

For whatever reasons this train was running a few minutes late. The driver will have been feeling intense pressure at the thought of passengers receiving refunds, and the shitstorm that would follow for him...he may have been late before, through no fault of his own and so could have been facing disciplinary action....

I know it's no excuse, and he will feeel like shit, and the rail network will be blaming him, but it's the culture of the workplace. I know I BANG ON AT LENGTH about RM, but it's the only parallel I really know about...since the latest modernisation programme postmen have been dying (another one in N'Yorks this week) on the job as they are so bullied by management they don't feel they can stop for their own health/welfare, accidents have gone up massively, especially road traffic accidents as people are using the driving sections of their duties to try and make up time, management threaten people with the Conduct Code for "performance issues".....if we did the job as specified in RM's OWN Hand S literature we'd not have a chance of completing....and so would get flak.

A lot of people aren't aware of their rights, they are isolated by management. They feel they might lose their jobs, their livelihoods, their families wil suffer. Nobody should feel like this. The Spanish employment situation is even worse then here at the moment too.

This wouldn't mean anything to the bereaved, but it's very probably not just the driver to blame, even though he will cop most of the blame.

I'm not saying he's blameless, but I have seen with my own eyes the stress that poor management and profit driven businesses put on their employees...HandS is more a paper exercise than about protecting people.

I haven't read anything about the story today, but from what I read yesterday it's something that's going to happen more and more....

I may be completely off the mark with this post, but it's just another angle. I regularly find myslef driving far too fast round the lanes, mainly just to get the fucking job finished, and i probably even "brag" about it sometimes, but I never used to have to drive like a lunatic 10 years ago....

edit>>>>tl,dr =D

I wonder would it be good to come off a long time benzo script with?.. Is preg a type of SSRI tho as none of those agree with me

pregabalin is an analogue of GABA itself, it's nothing like an SSRI, the only side effects I've gotten with it are a good restful nights sleep and slightly increased appetite.
And absolutely yes it useful for coming off benzos especially towards the end of a taper, since combining the two at large doses is a double whammy of CNS depressants and could be dangerous.

I also was on pregabalin immediately after I stopped drinking alcohol (was drinking every day) and it helped a LOT.

GBL (Gamma-butyrolactone) :

When GBL is metabolised the lactone ring structure is broken open and it becomes GHB

GHB (Gamma-hydroxybutyric acid which stimulates GABA release) :

-----------

GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) (does not cross the blood brain barrier when administered but is an endogenous signalling molecule in humans) :

Pregabalin (GABA analogue - calcium channel blocker and effective anti anxiety drug)

the pregabalin molecule can be drawn in another way that makes the direct relation to the above drugs more obvious, for those than can't rotate bonds in their head ;) :

So you can see the connection here....The hydrogen up-bond in there just demonstrates the presence of the stereocenter where the additional carbon bonds have been substituted onto the carbon chain of what otherwise, would be GABA itself. Pregabalin has two possible stereoisomers and the one which is used medically is the S isomer, as indicated with the explicit hydrogen depicted.

Oof, lovely image there

Killing time til we go house viewing by watching One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Never seen it before and am only half watching but will give it a proper run later. Love Jack Nicholson <3

Can't imagine today will be pleasant at all but needs doing. Am I fuck renting again this year after last year, and the year before.

Hope you all have a better day <3

Ugh, don't remind me. We've been renting for nearly 6 years and apparently have given our landlord over 40k. It's fucking painful. I'm just about ready to move back in with my parents.

Happy house-hunting anyway. :)

Ouch, that's a shitload of money :( And thanks :) Hoping today will be the end of it as it's been the cause of no end of tension in the household. It's nice being back with your parents for about a week or two, ha.

They do say that moving house is one of the most stressful things you can do, so.. it's pretty normal if things are tense. <3

I don't find it stressfull at all, probably since I've been moving on a yearly basis since I left home ten years ago, moved so many times, lost stuff in the process, now I'm quite used to it, I did use to find it extremely stressfull in the beginning but that was in a time when I used to smoke tons of weed and even going to the supermarket or the post office would get me on edge.
