Wicked mate.

I went to see Team GB play at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Well it was two games actually for £20 a ticket. Great bargain but the atmosphere was lacking. It wasn't like a football match. Dunno why didn't have that same feeling of unity. Support was patchy at best.

Sounds pretty intense man, hope you got a lot out of last night :)

Have heard so much about 4-Aco-DMT. Very emotional apparently and it appears so here hehe. Thinking about giving this one a try during the summer. Last attempt at mushrooms ended quite badly though, so it's the only real thing holding me back. However, it's been a while since I've had an intense trip so it's down to whether curiosity gets the better of me :)

^ Ben, well there wasn't really all that much going for Team GB. Brand new team, no songs and I don't think there was any real passion for it from any of the home nations, including England. Olympic football isn't really considered to be all that much.

No it's not far is it. And I just checked advance fares, cheapest I could do was about £27 each way. I'm going from Swansea to Paddington tomorrow, 200 miles, £17. That's what I always pay in advance. Coming back on the coach for £7.

Yeah, you're being ripped off.
 
Tickets need to be booked ages in advance to not be outrageously extortionate. Was looking at return fares to the Big Smoke t'other day and was nearly £70. Booked in advance is ~£20. Which is shite unless you are the planning-well-ahead type... which I'm guessing a fair few here may not be ;)

Tis the only way & also in your case if you are using the train frequently A Student rail card would be a good investment .

I have a Disabled one & It's the bollox
 
Ahh right, yeah its for next weekend, probably just end up driving myself it seems, the bastard with the car always get stuck with this, chucked out of wherever and a horrible drive home at 11am :(. I guess its what you get for leaving everything last minute, its not urgent unless its last minute though.

Ive got a student rail card but £50 still hefty per person, oh well.
 
The rail service in the UK is a bloody joke, prices are outrageous and the service is sub-par. I mean I live in a country that has notoriously bad public transport but still, last week it cost me 25 euros to go to Milan on a brand new train that does 280 km/h, is all nice, clean, comfy and has wi-fi. I remember when I was living in the UK it used to cost me up to 50 quid to get to Paddington from Plymouth and that was with a student discount. Crazy

Liberalizations gone wrong, privatising the service should have lead to increased competiton, with several companies fighting each other to provide the better service more cheaply than the other. It ended up with a useless shower of bastards providing crap service for top dollar.
