Not the best idea to experiment with that combo without some considerable experience with both. Actually it's pretty fukkin iffy even then. Is one of those weird combos where the sum is exponentially stronger than the sum of its parts.

Has been a hard day's arse-sitting and codeine swigging I'll have you know, young lady :D

Eyes have stopped watering and yawns are not quite so excessive. Faint possibility I may manage to rouse and rally myself. Distinct possibility I'll still just doze off :o

I was gonna be all like 'omg you're a mod, you need to promote HR' blablabla, then I realised I'm currently on an opiate/benzo/alcohol/sleeping pill combo and thought I should shut up. yay us =D
(no but that being said, I know what I'm doing, don't try that at home, etc etc).
Personally though knock, I wouldn't attempt a potentially dangerous combo if I weren't entirely sure of what I was doing. Just be safe :)

Thank you <3 I know, I was taking a considerable amount up until recent events on EADD, at which point I actually threw a lot of drugs away in a fit of self-questioning. Since then, drastically reduced. Certainly the variety and lack of caution have been much reduced.


Anyway, I've put the GBL away for another night on it's own, so don't worry. Just adding a MODERATE (for moderators) amount of AH7921 and one beer for "euphoria".

Pagey's assignment does sound a bit fucking insane, but to play devil's advocate, post-modern texts make a point of knowing they are post-modern, so it's not beyond reason to imagine that at least some medieval writers had an understanding of their position in history, of course it would be a very bottom-heavy view of history as I don't remember reading much sci-fi and the like from the medieval period...

My premise is basically that the word 'medieval' didn't exist until 1817 so the prompt really doesn't have any meaning. So fuck you, essay. :sus:
 
Well you'll get fuck all for effort :D Maybe 1% for identifying the end of the period in question. If that's what it is, which it definitely isn't. So 1% for identifying the first use of the word, but I could do that!

It's exactly what I thought of when I read Shambles post.

Re-watched the whole of The IT Crowd over a few nights last week. Is fucking genius at points. Third series is especially brilliant. I have a lot of respect for Graham Linehan. Good brain in that head.

I've watched every single episode about 8 times, just can't get enough of it. Such a shame they stopped so early.
