Does anyone else get that thing from stims that you are edgy and pacing and anxious when completely clean then when you take a big dose it just calms you down and allows you to stop moving about all the time? I thought it was meant to be the other way round?

:?

I do get that...It's only a short term 'solution' though. When the euphoria wears off you only end up in the same place, a little more strung out than before.

That's a signal of having Attention Deficit Disorder, people with ADD like myself get a calming effect from stimulants, while normally I get up every two minutes, open the fridge, go to the bathroom when I don't need to, pace up and down the room, on uppers I can sit for hours focusing on a single task.

Any bit of London in particular?

Let's start with the transport system.

Followed by all those really important people in suits walking down pavements talking loudly into their phones about Directorships.

But tbh, mainly the transport system. You seem to have a maximum speed limit of 5mph, no matter what form of transport. I can walk faster than that. And had to. Because your buses are shit and break down in the middle of Caledonian Road, thus producing gridlock IN SECONDS! That's sort of impressive in its own sweet way.

London smells. I'm not even being childish. It's a fact London stinks. And when you live there (I speak from twenty years experience) you get so used to the putrid air you don't even notice it.

Too many cops as well.

You're welcome to it.

In all seriousness, none of that is to be disputed with.

All overcome when the first warm wave of weather hits the city and you can spend a bit of time in Regents Park
Its that first hit of warm weather london that stops me hating the other 6 months of the year.

For summertime its a great city.

Much better than LA with its disgusting smog, chronic traffic, nazi like cops, overpriced rents, terrible radio stations, blinding sunshine( especially when hungover) and obsession with snapple iced tea and starbucks.

Not to mention you cant smoke in your own apartment now in Santa Monica !! ( one that would cost you upwards of £400-500,000 for a one bedroom to begin with)

Give me london anyday.

Nope not sure what you are on about there Albion, sure it's nice though.

Strange chilled out, mongy, wavey feeling from a stimulant. Something has broken.

Hope things are good for you Albion, uni stuff ticking over nicely are they?

Yeah I suppose...Putting off dissecting an academic text on Glitch music atm...It's an interesting topic, but when it's given as 'work' it becomes a chore to read (take a look). I don't even know who Bourdieu is but I clearly have to read his book first before I can make any sense of this one :!

If you've going for days on stims, sometimes the high tends to mellow out into what you're describing. It depends on the drug though. What're you on?

Really? Hows that fucking policed?

Rewards for people narcing you out , lol

not only that, its now passed so that you cannot smoke within 25 yards of your own home !!

And they also banned smoking while waiting for a bus now in Santa Monica to boot.

Its spreading to Pasadena this year as well, and leter on this year West Hollywood and Mid Wilshire are supposed to pass the law as well.

Yikes, is LA really that much worse? Fair enough, it doesn't have all that pesky sunshine or policing, but.... last time I was in London it was pretty much like you describe LA.

Not being able to smoke in your own home is fucking ridiculous, though.

I'm thinking of dominating the world from my living room. Would anyone care to join me?
I just think there is something bad about cities. There's good and bad. i don't think I 'd like to live in London. Too big for my liking. And it is dirty. Not that here is that clean, but it is more spacious. There's always that feeling of not being able to stretch your arms out properly in London. Right. I have to start this 7 day trick tomorrow. There's nothing like a little snivvle of a cold to convince you that you do really need to smoke heroin. Ho dear. That nd the thought of not having any work from Easter. We'll see what happens. I just hate doing application forms, but then can quite enjoy it if I get the time to do it. So even if I don't apply for anything tonight I can always have done some of the preparation work for a long application form.
