What's up with all the charities who do or did take Workfare? I'm guessing that would mostly be in terms of people working in their shops for nowt... which is what the rest of their employees do. You'd think voluntary work would be a different thing seeing as they stop your benefits if you admit to doing more than a few hours a week when you're not on Workfare. But then they stop your benefits if you take any paid work for more than a few hours a week when you're not on Workfare too. What a fukkin scam :\
 
You also get big companies like Argos and WH Smith then take people on workfare so they are basically getting workers for free that the taxpayer pays for and they don't offer them a job at the end and just get more free labour from the jobcentre, it's a right scam.
 
It's fukin YTS for grown ups n fuked if i ever do YTS again i'm still scarred from the first time 20 odd years ago .

Thing is i'll be buying a packet 2moro cos that's just how things go .
 
I really don't get the whole workfare thing - surely if these companies have a job that needs doing, even on a temporary contract, they can just pay them full-time minimum wage while they are there. Poundland needs shelf stackers so they can take JSA people on and damn well pay them a proper wage, then when the contract is over they can go back to JSA or be taken on permanently. Its a a lot better than 50 quid a week on JSA and will give some real work experience.

Exactly, the workfare programme is actually preventing companies from employing people.
Why advertise a job vacancy where you would have to pay someone at least the national minimum wage when you can just get an endless supply of free workers paid for by the taxpayer.
Its an absolute farce. Nothing has made me so bloody angry for a long long time.
 
I got 'Ordered' to go to the job center - I was asked why I wasn't working/claiming etc. I neither want nor need to ? But you 'Have' to - Why exactly? Because we want to charge you tax! ERM ... If you want to give me money simply because you need to take % of it back via tax - keep it all. No it doesn't work like that - well fuck you - Security !
 
Absolutely right, its simply a way of companies profiting at the taxpayers expense. Rather like the great banking bailout.

Brimz, what's the score with your Nectar card? You seem to place a pretty high value on it. I've heard you on about it before. Does your dealer do nectar points or something?
 
Oh I'm out of bed, don't have a computer in the bedroom, had to get up to feed various animals aswell.

christ though this cold weather is miserable.

I got rudely woken up by a police officer one morning - fucker was looking for his pants :D [jke] On the plus side - Found out what long arm of the law meant - apparently my tonsils need removed !

I live right next to SAinsburys go in their everyday to get my Methadone do all my shopping their , also i have a 24hr Sainsburys 2seconds from my door .

So i aquire a lot of nectar points . OI also know all the little tricks to get double n what not . The best one is when you get the £4 off £20 that's a big discount .
