Cornish what you looking for? My suggestion is you use Italy/overseas as a reference, got a few mates who could back up any incoming emails/what have you, as could I in Thailand, but it totally depends on what job you're after.

Thanks man you're a ledge. <3

Tbh I would need to lie to secure even the shittiest job.
Twas a gentlemen of leisure for far too many years. Now things have changed and I just need something/anything to keep me occupied.

Something where I can sit around on a computer all day would be good.
Although I'd probably take a job in mcdonalds right now.

Desperate times.

Being qualified for a job and being selected for a job are not the same thing...

But when you're picked, and you can't do the job, then surely it'll be clear you were never qualified as you claimed to be? Then you'll lose your job.

You're missing my point, it's possible to be the best person for the job, yet not get picked because of something that is either on your CV or is not on your CV.

People are often expected to account for every fucking week of their life. If there is an unexplained period where they were not employed, this can be a problem for some employers, and therefore for the person trying to get the job.

That's just one example.

The other point is, you can be perfectly capable of the job, yet not get selected, because someone submitted a CV which makes them look better. It's not one-candidate-per-job.

This depends on how good you are at the well known art of 'winging it':D

Well if it comes down to faking qualifications in order to compete with other candidates who are also faking qualifications, then I don't want to live on this planet any more!

Winging it is a legit tactic IMO though ;) You gotta have a certain amount of skill to wing it.

Albion, CVs are not just about qualifications! Qualifications are not the key factor when you've been working for five or ten years. ;)

For me, qualifications will be pretty much all I have to go on though. I've worked a few jobs, full time and everything, but they're irrelevant for the career I want to pursue.

At least it's hard for people to fake a portfolio.

i'm doing my bit to level out the playing field for us scummers, i have to look at about 50 CVs a week and if i see anyone that has been to boarding school.. i chuck it straight in the bin :D

i'll take a look at your CV cornish matey. honesty on the dole vs blagger getting PAID!. I know what i'd be doing.

for the type of jobs you're after it should not be too difficult to pull off. i've got a mate that was out of work for 10+ years while he enjoyed some time on the smack. I did a bit of creative writing /gap filling / fake references on his CV and it got him a picking and packing job last year. he is quite capable of putting stuff in a cardboard box despite his being out of work so has not been caught out. even if he did... on to the next company.

PM me if you want me to have a gander.
