That was essentially also my point, Ali ;)

And I actually do think it's a bit of a shame. I rather enjoy interacting with folk from distant lands. It's not like I get out much. More or less counts as going abroad actually. There is common ground to be found. Just takes a bit of digging sometimes is all.

i think we agree.

to be honest, i think that the lounge and eadd have a lot more in common than they do in difference but there are some big egos at play in both forums (for want of a better analysis) and it saddens me to see people here, for example, get butthurt when somebody from the lounge comes over here and disrupts things when eadd'ers are over in the lounge disrupting things at the same time. it's just a question of perspective, that's all.

I suspect we are indeed agreeing, Ali.

And I think the recent bout of... cross-cultural exchange probably got a few tempers frayed for rather specific reasons I don't need to spell out. The rather vicious streak that seems to be especially popular with certain Loungefolk doesn't sit well with the more supportive nature of EADD and I think it rather upset a few people given the particular situation. And frankly I can see why. But essentially an action/reaction thing imo. Tomorrows chip wrappers and all that.

We also played host for a mini-Rat tea party today which was brief but good-natured for the most part. And there are a few Lounge regulars who occasionally pop in and are most welcome. Dunno how well that works in reverse cos I really don't spend much time reading the Lounge at all tbh but suspect most EADDers who tend to stay local here probably don't doitrite in terms of fitting with Lounge culture. Others can flit back and forth just dandily, I'm sure.

Ultimately I agree EADD and The Lounge are almost like two sides of the same coin. It's mainly the tone and approach that don't transfer that well imo. And much of the humour, injokes and the like can be somewhat impenterable both ways too, no doubt. Plus, we get to talk drugs if so desired whilst generally pissing about a bit which is a definite bonus =D

Ha i'm getting more and more tempted to move their by the day! Pity about ya job, great that you've got aother lined up already though and even get a little holiday outta it. Getting myself some gbl > ghb next week, got 20g a few weeks back and it made me realize how much iv missed it, a 3 year breaks long enough, it really is a miracle cure for anything. GBL up the arse? Blimey that sounds risky.. I used to dilute it in a pint of juice just to be on the safe side, I take it g isn't corrosive to flesh then, is it any different effects wise when plugged?

Come now ponitfex, thats not exactly true, is it? I sent you the PM originally and unprompted didn't I? In it I said I was very sorry, gave you a full and unreserved apology and said I was completely out of order. But you didn't have the good grace to accept the apology, instead you wanted yet more, and sent me a long reply demanding I explain my actions amongst other things.

I didn't feel this was necessary or warranted (cos the internets not real, remember?) so explained a full apology was all I had, take it or leave it, to which I think you got me confused with one of your students and bawled me out for 'failure to account for my actions and insufficient contrition'. Lol. This didn't sit well with me, I felt you were acting with an over inflated sense of entitlement and self importance, and we ended by telling each other to fuck off :D

If you have me on ignore obviously you won't see this, but the fact everyone else can is good enough for me. If you do see this, and don't feel I'm being accurate, give me permission to post the PMs :)

Good morning EADD, weather report is arctic cold, scattered cloud cover and to be honest, could go either way. Too early to call.
 
Morning everyone - anyone got an aquarium? It's been on my to do list for too long so I'm going to give it a go. Spotted a decent size tank with full filter and all the stuff needed for a few hundred quid. Going to start on freshwater - see if I can be arsed with the upkeep before thinking about saltwater.

^ lol nothing sorry, it was a Tourettes thjing I was watching the other day.

I was watching the fish in Pet Smart the other day, the little sparkly ones, I was very stoned and it was a bit like fractals, very absorbing.

I have about 20 goldfish in a pond, I would get bored of maintaining a tank so quickly.
 
^thats the main reason I have been putting it off - Im wondering if it's too much work if I get a decent external filter?
