Got to attend a 2 week damn course now for idiots at this place, really not happy :(

Glad to be of service :D Maybe we should pimp our horses out for people to come round and dress them up, like those awful horse related PC games that I have certainly never played.

What two week course ya on? Dole-related or? I was on a fucking couple month long one, it was dire but the placement I got put on was well good

sadly it is the same thing, 2 weeks long.
Was meant to be ending the day I fly out too, I just about managed to get the Friday off so I can fly out to my Woman & her kid.

I would have gone fucking Rago if they said I could not get that flight tbh.

They do mention a certain word rather a lot.

On the plus side, lappy gets so hot so quick that I can use it as a stand-in radiator during it's cooling off periods. And the ambient temperature is so low it also cools down reasonably quickly. Every cloud, eh? :D
 
Windows 7. But it's a broken fan that's the problem afaik. Thankfully it appears the 'puter faries may be coming to visit in the near future to save me from kicking this bleedin' lappy across the room. It's not the overheating as such that's irking me - it's the way the screen keeps blacking/whiting out making it essentially unusable even when it's on. Is playing nice since that last lil cooldown so will give it a lil stroke and whisper sweet nothings in its USB slots <3
 
I'd still try and to go in to the power options and set everything bar the screen illumination on the laptop battery setting. I had to do it on mine as the fan kept on whizzing when the weather gets a bit warmer.
 
Ya. I tried all that, Arnold. No luck. Fan is just plain dead. Actually that's not entirely true. Comes on very occasionally wheezes and splutters a bit then fizzles out again. Think the motor burned out cos it was going like the clappers a coupla weeks back more or less constantly. Suspect it was my fault for not noticing the vents were a bit clogged up so it must've been working overtime. Am really not very good at computers me :|

Hopefully is just a fan needing replacing cos that would conceivably be doable at some stage. But I do believe a solution is winging it's way to me as I type - gotta <3 the good folk of EADDland <3
