I've got a bottle of that downstairs somewhere, from Prague. There's an image of a man tearing his hair out on the label which is kinda cool but it's not as pokey as the stuff I got first time I went there, which genuinely did seem to do something apart from get you pissed.

done the absinthe thing a few times but only once had a trip like experience. However i knew some girls who brought back some hooch from Greece that smelled faintly of petrol, 4 of us had the equivilent of about 3-4 shots aqnd went ouit the next day nobody had any recollection of where we went what we did ....total black outs

I've drunk absinthe a few times, in Czech Republic, and in Madrid there were a lot of absinthe bars.

Nice enough drink. got very pissed. So pissed I couldn't tell you whether it was any improved by the wormwood, which isn't even in a lot of "absinthes".

I don't agree with lighting any drink.Waste of alcohol.

I don't think the one I've got downstairs is 'proper' absinthe, it's also not very strong, but it does make for an interesting drink of an evening, tis pleasantly refreshing with a rewarding hint of wrongness when diluted with water. The other shit was a lot stronger and seemed to have some sort of mild trippiness to it too, coulda been placebo but I don't think it was. Alas, I only had a tiny bottle of it.

you have to eat em one by one cause the flavours are so ace. There's a real fiery one that always gets me, can't remember the flavour (possibly sizzling cinnamon)

I love very cherry ... the toasted marshmallow and strawberry jam ones come a close 2nd n 3rd
