I was considering buying a studio flat in Chelsea in 98 for around 80k
Decided not to ( in my defense I didnt really know how long I would be in London for or if I would move back to the states)
Same place sold last year for £435 K !!

Doh, Should have just bought it and rented it after a couple of years

We bought our house in 1995 for either 46k or 48k can't quite recall.
But I sold it in 2002 for £92k.
I so regret selling it now as I did love that house and it had a huge back garden with a couple of plum trees.
Still no use regretting what can't be changed.
Am more than happy now sharing a flat with my best friend of about 20 years.
