A lot of people dont like it, probably because of the general headfuck of a storyline ( not a problem if your a lynch fan)

Should be doing some philosophy studying myself but I made the decision to not start any work til the 2nd of Jan, ha. Though depending on what I read it's technically not work.

Either way today is cider and bed day, just took a cheeky drive out into the countryside in Mum's car as they're out for the day, back before my sister got home so she couldn't grass me up, gonna chill and watch some films and whatnot, back in sunny Ull tomorrow.
 
Morning all:), Snolly the 2nd is a fine to to start back, bollox to work till then I've hidden my Blackberry in the kitchen!

I managed to sleep in a bit this morning, well a few extra hours on the sofa having got up in the small hours but still sleeeep, few cups of coffee and I'm off round my father in laws for the afternoon. I'm taking the dog so I've got an excuse to go out and test drive my new woolly hat / headphone contraption.

You're probably doing proper study :), I'm just working through a free paper on Coursera. Some great stuff on there. Cider and bed and films sounds ideal though.

Been for a run now, reached my target distance for the month :). Had a nasty loss on the poker when someone bluffed me but fluked the win on the last card. Got cricket on now, New Zealand making an OK start.

Aye haha, the loosest definition of 'proper study' but I am ;) Gonna have a look at that paper though, looks interesting. I'm mostly focusing on gender theory at the moment so I won't consider it proper work ha.

Keep meaning to figure out the whole poker thing, still baffles me.

edit: parents have gone out and I am being relentlessly bullied by my younger sister, who won't let me into the living room. There's two doors but she's faster than me and bigger than me so I am relegated to my room. I thought the whole point in having a younger sibling was being able to make them do what you want.

I agree with you on the Samsung shout with regards to phones & tablets tho. Definitely.

Ahhh the traditional post-Christmas family row has kicked in! Talking house-buying with my Mum (I didn't start it off, she did) and she won't accept that I want to sit down with her AND me dad and sort stuff so we're all on the same page. Our family is notorious for making plans and then sacking them off and Mum's all 'I oversaw the last house purchase and Dad had nowt to do with it' and I'm all 'you spent all of yesterday trying to figure out the TV guide magazine I want you both here'. No one will sit and talk me through stuff, they just seem to find joy in knowing something that I don't and baffling me, even though I'm asking for help. Dad started mocking me so I left them to it. I know that's our family dynamic but sometimes it needs to take a backseat.

Anyway who gives a fuck there is a time and a place for these discussions and it is evidently not now so I've left them to bang on about shite and I've got the Dropkick Murphys station on on last.fm, can't beat some Celtic punk to go with yer boxing day drinking ;)
 
When my wife and I bought a house in 1995,I had no idea about mortgages,surveys and all the other crap that comes with buying a house.
Thankfully my wife had it all under control and all I did was sign pieces of paper when I was told to.
There was nothing like finally getting the key to that house and knowing that we now owned it.
I wish I had never sold it as I've no chance of ever buying another one.

I was considering buying a studio flat in Chelsea in 98 for around 80k
Decided not to ( in my defense I didnt really know how long I would be in London for or if I would move back to the states)
Same place sold last year for £435 K !!

Doh, Should have just bought it and rented it after a couple of years
