world at war is one of the most powerful and shocking programs ever made.
i have the entire series of it every episode on dvd. its very graphic and grim stuff.
my favourite scenes in it are episodes 2 and three about the first waves of luftwaffe attacks on the uk.
there is footage of a couple of stuka divebombers attacking a convoy near dover harbour its a laugh the english commentater at the time was brilliant "they have dropped their sticks of bombs one two three...they missed havnt hit a ship yet.

anyone ever get all edgy and a metallic taste in their mouth and feel all shakey and awquard the day after hammering booze? think the way my body copes with hangovers is changing. infact i dont even get a hangover i just feel odd sometimes. havent felt like it since my late teen years of drinking myself into a mess and feeling speedy and trippy the day after

world at war is facinating and interesting cos of the war footage and political drama buts its educational stuff not fun times.
my best mate destroyed my head playing driving games on his xbox fullblast when i was on the couch sleep deprived from a two day mdpv binge so i got him back when he was sleep deprived from a 48 hour methylone binge by keeping him awake by playing the most grim and shocking scenes from world at war of the warsaw ghetto and auschwitz on my surround sound and plasma tv lol
i think i went a bit too far the footage shocked him and left his fragile sleep deprived head destroyed. he still gives out about it haha

Hope everyone is well as can be and hangovers / comedowns / periods and manic binges are being embraced :D

I'm all odds and out of sorts with BL its like a huge chunk of my arm has been cut off. I've lost all my mod buttons and drop down menus, no staff nudies, no stalking powers, can't make polls and no virtual splifs n' cuppas in the modthread :( It feels ever so weird. Still think like I should be reading through every bleedin' thread too...

Though it is nice to not feel the responsibility of it. Hope its going well for you new boys <3

Sensible temperature Shams? As in consistent. If you were a pre-menopausal woman you'd know what real suffering is like ;) I've been much the same today, either to hot and stuffy or freezing cold. Can't say I'm enjoying the hardwood floors here either. Oh for carpet!

Bugger. Managed to take ibuprofen on top of naproxen. Internal bleeding ahoy 8)

Well, just an almighty gutache perhaps. Hopefully I ate enough for dinner to cushion the blow. Do wish me doc would prod that bloody pain clinic a bit firmer and more frequently cos am fukkin sick to death of having to take such shitey fukkin painkillers. And I've gotta trudge into town to the shop in a bit too. Arsery.

Managed to borrow a tenner last night and am torn. Need baccy (giving up smoking still not quite on track :o) but am fine for food (I think) so there's a possibilty of booze. Probably less than sensible though. Hmm...

I've actually still not gotten used to lack of extra buttons and stuff. Took me long enough to get used to 'em and will no doubt take at least as long to get used to lacking 'em. The lack of responsibilty definitely has its charms though. And not having to slog through endless PM debates with people bitchin' 'bout being *snipped* or whatever :D

Constant temperature would be great. I cannot believe that menopause can be worse than shitey central heating. Not possible I say :D
 
Currently waiting for Metro 2033 to download via Steam. It's taking it's sweet ass time. What's the point in having 120MB connection if Steam's only going to let me download at 500kbps! :(

fucking moto gp it was very annoying the high revs of the bike anyway he was trying to beat my record lap times the fucker lol.
naw what i did was bad i regret it.they showed footage of the warsaw ghetto where people were walking by as the body of a anorexic half naked dead woman lay and the people didnt seem to notice or care. it got to me aswell as my mate it was real not a film

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit moany m'dear. What else are the pain clinic offering you? Can you get massages, or other holistic therapies?

There was talk of creating an "I survived EADD modding" thread in the crew forum...though best not to mention that right now in Knockn'Monkey's honeymoon period =D

Bleed your radiators Shams? I'd have to disagree about the menopause by throwing a virtual frying pan at you. Though the manopause is undoubtedly much worse bit like man flu :p

What about buying less booze and less tobacco so you can have a lil of both? Appreciate compromise can be shite though.
 
nasty. i saw a documentary on the nagasaki bombing on a meph comedown, there was this bloke explaining how he saw a burnt up black mess of a person walking along then collapsing into a river, apparently the guy looked like a black blob no eyes no face no nothing just this weird creature shuffling along, shocking stuff always gets me thinking, after seeing some documentarys id go to bed thinking about it and dream about it, life is some weird mysterious shit
 
Kate: Pain clinic moan was cos they still haven't sent me an appointment through even though it's been four months now and twice me doc has reminded them to get it sorted. Is only in a town near enough for me to reach one day a month so I guess they're short on appointment slots :\

Dunno what they offer yet. Other one I got a brochure for (yes they sent me a brochure like a health spa or summat :D) sounded amazing though. You had to stay there for a week minimum (up to a month I think) while they let you try out a gazillion different options to find what worked best for you. They treated you for chronic fatigue at the same time as it's such a common side-issue for chronic pain patients. Sounded ideal but was absolutely impossible to get to unfortunately :(

Don't think me heating's actually broken so much as my internal thermostat is knackered. Has been for years. Always way too hot or way too cold. Is mighty annoying but I suppose I still have all me hormones in place so can't complain too much. Not if I want to avoid further virtual missiles anyway 8o

Half oz of baccy and whatever the change stretches to is likely the plan, Kate. Probably not wise in the sense that leaves me with nowt for unforseen circumstances other than about seven quid in me bank that I'd have to use me card to spend. Tenner doesn't really offer many options for unforseen circumstances anyway so have talked meself into booze 'n' fags (in moderation) being perfectly acceptable ;)

Suspect I'm just a bit moany cos there's no way I can rustle up me usual weekend ket-based treat this week. Few things irk a boy who's working on his moderation (other kind of moderation) skillz more than being forced to moderate even more than planned :D

I am indeed, Jess. Partially cos I must admit I do enjoy a good heated (as opposed to overheated) debate for its own sake sometimes, but also cos I hope to learn new things. I no doubt sometimes come over as another one of those irksome "cyber atheists" (not a term I like but heyho) who thinks he knows it all and will disagree and dismiss any opposing views on principle... but I hope I'm not. Perhaps I am after all. Will have to see what happens. Would be nice to find something I haven't heard before though. I keep thinking that there must be something there for so many to believe such things but I've not found it yet. Maybe one day (although I suspect not ;)) but til then heated (good-natured) debates are fun anyway :)

In other news, was quite pleased with me shopping. Managed to squeeze a half -bottle of gin, a bottle of tonic and a half oz of baccy out the last of me cash. Usually won't buy half-bottles on principle (2/3-3/4 of the price for half the amount 8() but needs must. Plus it means limited chance of making me too much of a dick ;)

watching war footage on psychedelics or sleep deprived is to be avoided can cause nasty nightmares.
a mate of mine tried to show me footage of capured russian soldiers having their throat cut on the net fuckoff with that shit i dont want that in my head.i dont understand what people get out of watching extreme gore
