Gibberings CXIV: The nuts are acceptable here all year round

I dont remember seeing your username around before but seeing as you seem to be studying EADD activity, if theres decreased traffic round here it may have less to do with the disappearance of some posters and more to do with the emergence of others.

Nah this forum literally slowed down like a day after those two left. Also I don't see how the emergence of new posters would decrease traffic, surely the opposite would happen, unless you mean new posters have led older ones to stop posting, which seems unlikely.

Or a goblin shark?

If new posters are annoying enough they'll slow traffic.

I see you're in Australia Kenny. Why don't you rub yourself down with rotten fish guts, swim really far out and see if you find any nice sharks to photograph for us.

Nice shark pics, folks. Quite like sharks but not seen such quality ones as the two posted so far. More sharks please :)

New bathroom Shambles :) I like new bathrooms. I have a bit of a thing for bathrooms, I quite like cleaning them.

Indeed. New bath, tiles and flooring and getting a shower fitted too. Wootywoowoo =D

Tiling chap just finished so might risk a cuppa coffee before the shower chap arrives. Oooh the excitement of being able to wee without having to ask permission first :D

PS: Had to clean me bathroom before the builders came yesterday. Had all weekend to do it. I somehow settled on just waiting til thirty minutes before they arrived and blitzing it. Maybe all I need to not be living in quite such a shitpit is deadlines and copious drug sessions running right up to said deadlines.

Kenny's a dude, fo real.

Not very original or niche as sharks go, but I've always loved these fellas:

That bottom one is well snazzy, Jan. Hammerheads are also cool. Their vision must be freaky as fuck. Especially with that electrosense thingy they have too. Wonder if it's overlaid on vision. Apparently homing pigeons and the like literally see magnetic field lines overlaid over vision. Like some kinda funky pigeon-based HUD.

I actually have photos of sharks I took at the Aquarium here in Melbourne, they are from the main tank, basically you walk into a tunnel so you're surrounded by water on all sides, pretty cool to see the big sharks swim above you.

Probably quite tasty battered with chips. Always used to sell battered dogfish at me local chippy as a nipper. Never had it meself though.

Kenny: I've always quite fancied going to an aquarium. Have a fondness for underseas thingies. Am unlikely to take up diving anytime soon but walking through tunnels with air in and water above is more my level.

Also, my diving joke: How do you circumcise a whale? Send down four skin divers.

Unsurprising isn't it reallly? Seeing as one of them (Spade) had one of the highest post counts in BL history and the other was heading that way rapidly.

I wanted to take up scuba diving over here but I just can't afford it, it's more than two grand just for the initial course, the open water, then you need at least another course to dive beyond a certain depth. My dad is a PADI cerified dive master he always tried to convince me to do diving courses when I was still living at home, but I always snobbed them for skateboarding and weed8)

I absolutely love Aquariums, when I was living in Plymouth I went to the local Aquarium there after dropping four or five blotters, it was amazing just tripping out looking at all the wonderful creatures, unfortunately there were lots of school children on that day and they annoyed me so I left after a while, could have stayed all day. I remember having this really intense eye contact with an octopus, it was probably all in my head but I reckon we came to an understanding that day. Decided I would stop eating octopus that day, have tried not to have it since.

The one at the bottom's a wobbegong or carpet shark. That one's actually a bit tame and dogfish-shaped as they go... I found one which looked like Mick Hucknall but it wouldn't link nicely!

Hammerheads are gorgeous things, that one's not much of a looker though... If I remember rightly, which I possibly don't, they have electrosensory organs in strips down their sides and experience it something like an extended sense of touch. Any contracting muscles in that space (eg prey) might as well be in physical contact with them.
