Jeez,I'm not a fan of the cold as not got much fat on me to keep me warm.
I bet Norway is a beautiful country though and it must have some spectacular scenic views.
Are you spending your Xmas there then?

same here I look like Kurt Cobain circa 1993. I look like a twig tbh.

I fly back on the 21st December, I was going to have xmas out there but it's too much for a flight back they go up 200% in cost from the 22nd December right through till around the 7th January 2013.

A picture of where I am going to be at to give you an idea what it looks like.

Norway not Scandinavia. It is Bergen my fiance lives just out the city.

I will pass on the "Bromance" tbh I just made up with my fiance so we have lots of time to cuddle each other but thanks for the offer.

Got my 1st taste of MDAI when I get there too which should be fun

Looks good Farmaz, can you see the Northern Lights in Norway? I have always wanted to witness that phenomena as they look so magical.

ohhhhhh, feeling a bit rough still, them pheasants won't do themselves....they've been hanging for a week, but shoudn't be too niffy as it's been pretty cold week. Still not relishing the prospect.

Might just peel them rather than pluck them, can't be doing with all the dusty downy feathers getting in me face when I'm spitting feathers as it is.

Pheasant sounds nice Mailmonkey. Just asked you on the food thread but as you are here I'll ask you on here.
Have you always been a foodie and did you teach yourself how to cook all these meals you make or have u been on a course to learn the basics etc?

Saw them the last time I was out there on my last night, we went outside for a roll up as I was going at 5am & still waiting for my washing to dry. I looked up in the sky & saw all this weird white stuff at the start I throught it may be a UFO or some weird thing. I asked Jamie what the hell it was & she laughed & said it was the aurora borealis.

I had seen it before on TV & pics on the internet but when you see it in real life it is very weird. Huge white shapes flying through the sky it scared me at the start to be honest.

Just worried about your reckless behaviour and where it could get you. We've all done daft things, I'm not saying I haven't, but I reserve the right to point it out when I see it. ;)

Says mr 'oh ill just send a mad blood soaked note to my neighbours to apologise for having the bizzies round after smashing up my house' lol.

Seriously, I'm used to handling microgram quantities of material, do not worry.

Would love to witness them myself. I bet a few folk have marvelled at them after taking acid.
Certainly are one of the wonders of the world.
Hope you have a good time while there mate, is your fiance Norwegian then?

Is Bergen, Norway, not part od Scandinavia? Is Scandinavia one of those outdated geographical demarcations?

maxalfie, yeah, I've always loved cooking, i love dicking about with food, catching it meself, picking/growing it meself.....I left home just before me 19th birthday and went to live in Turkey, and started cooking properly there, I've lived in a few countries, and one of the most fascinating things for me every time (apart from foreign women) was finding markets, talking to food people, watching other people cook etc......it's no more than an interest to me...

I would have loved nothing more than to train as a chef when I was younger, but I went to a private school and my parents absolutely vetoed all my ideas to study Home Economics (not academic, for girls etc :( ), and forced me to study Latin instead. Did me no good whatsoever.

Although, saying that, if I'd studied Home Ec and gone onto catering college I probably wouldn't have started fucking off abroad so soon....

I did go on an "Advanced" fish cookery course 3 years or so ago, was a well meaning Christmas present from a relative, but tbh it was pretty shit as most of the course was about filleting different fish and various cooking techniques...the fiish on the course was nowhere near as fresh as the fish I use, and, obviously, there was nothing new for me to learn =D

I love cooking, I love food, I just make it a mission to seek out new foods, and if I don't know how to prepare something I'll find out. Everything I cook I manage to find fault with, and identify where I could improve it.

I'm a classic anal retentive.

I guess it's a great hobby to have as there is always something new to be learnt. New recipes, new ingredients to try etc.
I should really pull my finger out and learn to cook some meals. I'm 42 in February and I still never really cook for myself, I just eat something out of a packet, microwave meals etc.
If it wasn't for my flatmate I would never get to eat a freshly made meal.
Do you reckon a cooking for total beginners book would be much help?I like Jamie Oliver but do you think his books might be too much for a total novice.

You're one of these always right cunts aren't you.

Ah, got some beef going on again?
Guess it is that time of the month.

Morning all <3

Tender tummy from too much cider and I'm in need of many a cuppa o' tea. Infact if anyone's got any slaves that I can buy off them for.....£2.54 (I need the rest for backy) then that'd be grand.

Atleast I managed to sleep until the builders said "We're off fella!" so that's working well for a peaceful afternoon wakeup :)

Now yoonz lot be good kids <3
---Edit---

Fuck's sake... Festive BL? There's nowhere to hide now! :sus:

doesnt feel as cold today.. though the frost, ice etc suggests otherwise. im guessing its lack of north easterly wind but man it makes a difference

bought electric. getting harder to justify blasting that first pound odd of credit on relative luxuries. token meters, what a scam

Good afternoon Monsta, you missed morning by just over 2 & half hours mate, but who's counting eh?
Just gonna have a nice hot cuppa tea and then it's time to watch 'Ted' on DVD which I'm looking forward to seeing.
Enjoy your Sunday afternoons and Sunday dinners etc.
Adios amigos.
