Priest invented most of the cliches that metal was born on. And noone can sing like halford could in his prime. I admit manowar are absurd but that doesn't mean they're awful.
Saxon are probably the best band I've seen live in the past 2 years, they just never seem 'passed it'

Yeah do record. But everything live was downtuned and his voice cracks constantly. Compare rock and roll at knebworth to the original studio version and tell me if was any good.
When coverdale toured with page in 93 he sang all the zep stuff better that plant EVER did
