I have never been to an Irish-themed pub/bar. True story.

I have been to a pub run by a middle-aged gay Irish couple though. They made the best cheese and ham sandwiches I've ever tasted. We used to go there for lunch most days at college cos it was just around the corner, had a decent jukebox, pool table was always free, the cheese and ham sandwiches were both cheap and amazing, and the fellas were always very warm and welcoming. Very friendly pub, very much run by Irish people, definitely not an Oirish theme pub.

I can assure you we were saying completely different things. You were implying that she wasn't even on holiday! And yes, I did tell her to get off Bluelight, but I am not the boss of anyone and I certainly didn't say she was spending all her time here! (Which she most definitely isn't.)

If you ever do go on holiday, we shall see if you manage to resist making the odd post on Bluelight. Which I would have no problem with, cos it's not really any of my business.

Hypocrisy my arse.

And I tend to agree on decent pubs now - heavy on the bellends from the little I've seen. A variety of factors mean I almost never go to pubs these days but something did seem to change in terms of young folk and pubs along the way. I know I'm an auld geezer now so would say that but when I were a lad around the jukebox n pool kinda pubs it was speed not coke everybody was on (or pills, but mostly speed). Teenagers on speed are a very different animal to teenagers on coke, I'd say. Still plenty of shite being drivelled out at high volume but I don't recall there ever being aggression or out and out dickishness. Speed seems to lend itself far better to a few pints to create a good atmosphere rather than coke which almost inevitibly ends up in unacceptable levels bellendery of one kind or another.

And those cheese and ham sarnies really were the bizniz. A good two inches thick, homemade bread, real butter and thick slices of good quality ham and cheddar - yum <3
 
I have spent little time on here, evey, so I'd appreciate if you stopped being rude because that's how you've come across to me.

And as it's been said, people have phones. we say hello and talk to our friends. I haven't holed myself in the hotel under the bedsheets just to be online.

And no i wont be on on Bluelight if on holiday. Why would i waste all that money, time n effort to spend all my time on an internet forum?

Errr.. why did you even feel the need to mention it, what's it to you if she posts on bl while on holiday? nowadays with smart phones people access this site from anywhere, out of anyone on this forum you are the last person that should be telling others not to post, didn't really wanna get involved in this but seriously.. can't you see how hypocritical you are being?
